Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be continuing our partnership with OsecoElfab, a global manufacturer specialising in engineered rupture discs and explosion venting solutions for high-hazard industrial environments to assist with their search for a IT Support Technician(2nd/3rd Line). \n \n Overall Purpose: \n\n • You will serve as a catalyst for change, driving the implementation of new digital solutions across the organization.\n, • In this role, you will take a hands-on approach to providing technical support for client-side devices and software, while also having the opportunity to engage with network infrastructure components like switches and servers.\n, • By leading projects and fostering user engagement, you will contribute to enhancing user experiences and the overall technological landscape.\n, • This role includes a combination of higher-level technical support and basic Tier I responsibilities. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, supporting, and configuring various IT systems while ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day IT functions.\n, • You will also contribute to the ongoing improvement of IT processes and solutions, handling everything past Tier I up to Tier III for support.\n\n Key Duties: \n\n • Provide Tier II / Tier III technical support across multiple departments.\n, • Perform both basic Tier I and more advanced troubleshooting to resolve IT-related issues.\n, • Administer and support systems, including Active Directory, domain trusts, SharePoint, and network infrastructure.\n, • Handle desktop, server, wireless, and network-related issues, ensuring system uptime and performance.\n, • Assist in imaging and deployment of desktops, laptops, and other devices.\n, • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless IT operations and user satisfaction.\n, • Create and maintain documentation for IT procedures and systems.\n, • Participate in projects to implement new technologies and improve current systems, including virtualization technologies.\n, • Train junior staff on IT processes and tools as needed.\n, • Manage incidents, service requests, and changes using the company's helpdesk system.\n\n Key Requirements: \n\n • Proven experience in a Tier II or Tier III support role.\n, • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, including domain trusts and group policies.\n, • Proficiency with network troubleshooting and administration, including wireless technologies.\n, • Proficiency in server log monitoring to ensure proactive maintenance and troubleshooting.\n, • Experience in desktop and laptop imaging solutions (no specific tool required, training will be provided).\n, • Proficiency in managing and supporting Microsoft technologies, including SharePoint.\n, • Ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and incidents while maintaining attention to detail.\n, • Familiarity with VMware virtualization.\n, • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.\n\n The Package: \n\n • Competitive salary on offer, depending on level of experience.\n, • 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday.\n, • Company pension scheme.\n, • Private health care.\n, • Life assurance.\n, • Quarterly bonus scheme potential.\n, • Additional benefits.\n
