Part-Time Chef – Professional Sports Club West Midlands | £14.35 – £15.38 per hour | Part-Time / Term-Time Style Working Is This You? Hours & Working Pattern Typically 3–4 days per week, working 7.30am – 3.30pm Days will vary in line with the training and event schedule – for example, fewer days may be required in weeks with a midweek fixture or event Occasional evening or event-day working will be required to support the wider catering team The role follows the sporting calendar, so there is minimal or no work available during the closed season (broadly May and June), making it well suited to someone who welcomes an annual break at this time Paid on an hourly basis to reflect the variable nature of hours across the season What You'll Be Doing Supporting the Head Chef in designing innovative, cost-effective menus Preparing, cooking and presenting food to consistently high standards Maintaining strict food safety, hygiene and health regulation standards Working closely with the nutrition team to meet dietary requirements for elite athletes and squad members Keeping kitchen records, temperature logs and due diligence documentation up to date Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies What We're Looking For Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar professional kitchen environment Level 3 Food Hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain) NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience, with strong cooking and knife skills A flexible, adaptable approach – comfortable working independently for periods of the day Availability to work some weekends and public holidays to cover event days An interest in sport and elite performance environments would be an advantage Salary & Package £14.35 – £15.38 per hour, depending on experience. A probationary period applies, following which the successful candidate will move to the full rate. All colleagues are subject to a satisfactory DBS check as part of the club's safeguarding commitments. INDL
