Forest School Teacher \n\n • Location: London/Greenwich\n, • Salary: Dependent on qualifications and experience\n, • Contract: Full Time \n\n We are looking for a Forest School Leader to lead safe, engaging, and inspiring sessions for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This role involves providing high-quality outdoor learning experiences that promote confidence, independence, wellbeing, and practical life skills. \n Day-to-day of the role: \n\n • Plan and deliver engaging Forest School sessions using the school's established outdoor learning programme.\n, • Adapt activities to meet the needs and abilities of individual pupils.\n, • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive outdoor learning environment.\n, • Promote confidence, resilience, teamwork, and independence through outdoor experiences.\n, • Support pupils in developing communication, emotional regulation, and practical life skills through meaningful activities.\n, • Encourage curiosity, exploration, and respect for the natural environment.\n, • Work closely with class teachers to understand pupils' individual needs and learning objectives.\n, • Provide verbal and written feedback following Forest School sessions.\n, • Carry out daily safety checks of the Forest School site and ensure the safe use of tools, fires, and outdoor equipment.\n\n Required Skills & Qualifications: \n\n • Level 3 Forest School Leader Qualification.\n, • GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.\n, • Outdoor First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).\n, • Current safeguarding training (or willingness to undertake).\n, • Proven experience delivering Forest School or outdoor learning sessions, particularly with children and young people with SEND.\n, • Strong knowledge of safe tool use and fire management.\n, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt activities to meet individual needs.\n\n Benefits: \n\n • Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.\n, • Term-time work schedule plus INSET days, supporting work-life balance.\n, • Opportunities for professional development and training in specialist areas.\n, • Being part of a supportive and passionate team dedicated to providing exceptional education and support to SEND pupils.\n\n How to Apply: \n To apply for the Forest School Leader position, please submit your CV or clip the apply button.
