Business Development & Social Value Manager \n Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (DOE) \n Drive Business Growth. Deliver Social Impact. \n We are seeking an ambitious and proactive Business Development & Social Value Manager to support business growth, strengthen client relationships, lead tender submissions and drive the successful delivery of social value commitments across a range of construction projects. \n This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, relationship-focused professional who is passionate about creating lasting community impact while contributing to the continued success of a growing business. \n The Role \n Working closely with senior leadership, pre-construction teams and operational teams, you will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, supporting tender and framework submissions, developing stakeholder relationships and ensuring social value commitments are delivered successfully across projects. \n Key Responsibilities \n Social Value \n\n • Develop and implement social value strategies and initiatives. \n, • Produce and manage Employment Skills Plans where required. \n, • Coordinate social value commitments across frameworks and projects.\n, • Build relationships with schools, colleges, charities and community organisations. \n, • Organise work experience placements, apprenticeship opportunities and community engagement activities. \n, • Monitor performance against social value KPIs and contractual commitments. \n\n Business Development \n\n • Identify and develop new business opportunities. \n, • Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants and framework providers. \n, • Develop client engagement plans to encourage repeat business. \n, • Attend networking events, industry functions and supplier engagement activities. \n, • Monitor procurement and planning portals for future opportunities. \n, • Maintain and develop CRM records and business development activity. \n\n Tenders & Frameworks \n\n • Support PQQ, framework and tender submissions. \n, • Produce high-quality written responses for bids and tenders. \n, • Coordinate information from operational and technical teams.\n, • Maintain bid content libraries including case studies and supporting documentation. \n, • Attend framework briefings, procurement events and pre-construction meetings. \n\n Marketing & Communications \n\n • Support website and social media content. \n, • Assist with case studies, award submissions and promotional materials. \n, • Promote business achievements and social value successes. \n\n Apprenticeships & Early Careers \n\n • Coordinate apprenticeship and work experience programmes. \n\n About You \n The ideal candidate will have: \n\n • Experience in business development, social value, bidding/tendering, marketing or a related role.\n, • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.\n, • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities.\n, • A proactive and organised approach to managing multiple priorities.\n, • Experience working within construction, housing, regeneration or infrastructure environments would be advantageous.\n\n Salary & Benefits \n\n • £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.\n, • Office-based role.\n, • Working hours:\n \n, • Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm\n, • Friday: 8:30am - 4:00pm\n \n, • 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays.\n, • Company pension scheme.\n, • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).\n\n Apply Today \n Join a business where you can make a real difference by creating opportunities, building relationships and delivering meaningful social value.
