Combining a rich heritage with a forward-thinking approach, the business continues to invest in its people, technology and processes to support future growth.This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and innovative organisation where finance plays a key role in supporting performance, continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.Your new role Key Responsibilities \n\n • Produce monthly management accounts across multiple entities.\n, • Prepare group consolidations and support reporting requirements across the Group.\n, • Improve the quality, accuracy and timeliness of group reporting and management reporting.\n, • Drive month-end process improvements and reduce reporting timescales.\n, • Identify opportunities for automation and improved use of finance systems and technology.\n, • Support budgeting, forecasting and workforce planning activities.\n, • Provide meaningful business analysis across overheads, sales, margins, stock and operational performance.\n, • Partner with stakeholders to explain financial performance and support commercial decision-making.\n, • Manage UK and German payroll processes alongside HR and external providers.\n, • Support the annual audit process and maintain strong financial controls.\n, • Contribute to finance transformation and wider business improvement projects.\n\n What you'll need to succeed About You \n\n • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CA qualified.\n, • Experience in group reporting, management reporting and business partnering.\n, • Proven ability to improve reporting processes, controls and management information.\n, • Experience reducing reporting timescales whilst maintaining quality and accuracy.\n, • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n, • Demonstrable process improvement and automation experience.\n, • Advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability.\n, • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\n, • Proactive, collaborative and focused on continuous improvement.\n\n Desirable Experience \n\n • Multi-entity reporting and group consolidations.\n, • ERP implementation, systems improvement or finance transformation projects.\n, • Experience working within an SME environment.\n\n What you'll get in return \n\n • Salary of £63,000 - £70,000.\n, • A broad and commercially focused Group Reporting Accountant position.\n, • Opportunity to work closely with the senior leadership team and develop your career within a growing and successful organisation.\n, • Exposure to process improvement, automation and transformation initiatives.\n, • 35-hour working week, Monday to Friday.\n, • Flexible start and finish times to support work-life balance.\n, • Hybrid working arrangements, with up to 40% home-based working.\n, • A collaborative and supportive culture within a respected and innovative organisation.\n, • Competitive benefits package includes: \n \n, • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays\n, • Option to purchase additional annual leave\n, • Employer pension contribution of 6%\n, • Life assurance at 3x basic salary\n, • Employee Assistance Programme\n, • Staff discounts\n \n\n What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career. \n Hays EA is a trading division of Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited and acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
