AV Technical Specialist – Audio OR Video Location: France Salary: €47,000–€55,000 depending on experience Contract: Permanent We’re working with a leading global events and audiovisual production business looking for an experienced AV Technical Specialist to join their team in France. This opportunity is open to specialists from either an Audio OR Video background. You do not need to specialise in both disciplines – strong technical expertise within either professional audio or video is welcomed. This is a hands-on role combining technical delivery with on-site responsibility, giving you the opportunity to work across a varied calendar of live and corporate events while taking the lead within your specialist area. English is essential for this position. The Role • Set up, operate and dismantle professional audio or video/AV equipment across live events., • Take ownership of technical delivery within your specialist discipline before, during and after events., • Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively in a live environment., • Supervise and provide technical direction to other technicians during event delivery., • Work closely with internal teams to develop and deliver effective technical solutions for each event., • Build strong relationships with clients, venues and hotel teams, providing a high level of service throughout., • Mentor and support technical, operational and commercial colleagues, helping develop technical capability across the wider team., • Support the preparation, safe storage, transportation and maintenance of technical equipment., • Assist with equipment inventories and planning for upcoming requirements., • Follow company health, safety and security procedures and ensure equipment is protected throughout its use. About You • At least 4 years’ professional experience specialising in either Audio OR Video/AV, ideally within live events, corporate events, venues or hospitality environments., • Strong hands-on technical expertise within your specialist discipline., • Confident operating professional event technology and troubleshooting technical issues during live events., • Experience supervising or providing technical direction to other technicians., • Strong client-facing and communication skills., • Comfortable working across multiple events, projects and technical requirements., • An audiovisual qualification or equivalent is advantageous., • Previous customer service or hospitality experience is beneficial., • Fluent English is essential for the role., • French language skills are also required.
