Regional Transport Manager Location: Paris, France Experience: 5+ years The Opportunity We're working with a well-established luxury house to find a driven Regional Transport Manager to lead its logistics operation across EMEI. You'll report into the Logistics Director for the region, working alongside a central customs and transport function based in Geneva. This is a role built for someone who genuinely enjoys the mechanics of freight and logistics: negotiating with carriers, keeping customs paperwork watertight, and finding smarter ways to move product across a busy multi-country network. You'll partner closely with boutiques, the finance function and the wider logistics team, owning everything from day-to-day delivery performance to longer-term carrier strategy. If you like having real accountability for a function, and enjoy switching between spreadsheets, supplier calls and customs regulations in the same afternoon, this could be a great fit. Key Responsibilities: Logistics Strategy & Delivery • Help shape how goods move across the region: from the main distribution hub out to each market, between internal locations, out to end customers, and via the many smaller, less predictable shipments (think design studio runs, press samples, event logistics, recycling pickups)., • Play an active part in rolling out new order management and transport management platforms., • Source and appoint carriers, and lead commercial negotiations on pricing and contract terms., • Build the transport budget jointly with Finance and keep it on track throughout the year., • Own performance across the transport network, keeping cost, speed, quality and environmental impact all moving in the right direction., • Pull together a monthly performance pack, covering how the network is doing on cost, delivery times and sustainability metrics., • Run ongoing reporting, digging into what's happening day to day, week to week and month to month across the transport function., • Keep pushing for better ways of working, whether that's a new route, a better carrier mix, or a smarter process., • Stay alert to anything, internal or external, that could disrupt performance, and get ahead of it where possible., • Reconcile carrier billing against what was actually agreed., • Be the first point of contact when something goes wrong on the delivery side, and see it through to resolution. Store Delivery Coordination • Keep deliveries running smoothly to a network of more than 40 store locations., • Track outbound deliveries against the planned schedule, and stay on top of what's coming back the other way too (transfers, returns, direct-to-customer shipments)., • Stay close to what stores actually need day to day, and use that feedback to keep improving how the network runs., • Own the documentation side: transport processes, customs procedures, and anything CITES-related, all kept current in the shared knowledge base., • Keep a live view of carrier options, shipping lanes and pricing, and flag changes as they happen. Customs & Regulatory • Take ownership of staying compliant across the board: general customs rules, origin requirements, hazardous materials handling, and CITES obligations., • Keep customs paperwork properly filed away in case of audit., • Make sure all customs approvals and certifications are current, renewing anything (REX status, Approved Exporter, etc.) before it lapses. People Leadership • Lead a small team split across the region., • Make sure everyone on the team understands how their work fits into the bigger picture., • Invest in developing the team's skills over time., • Pick up ad hoc projects and priorities as they come up from the Logistics Director., • Represent the business well in every external interaction, whether that's a carrier negotiation or an industry event. About You: • Around 5–6+ years in transport, logistics, customs or distribution, ideally somewhere in retail, e-commerce or freight forwarding., • Some prior experience managing people., • A background in luxury or premium goods would be a plus, though not a dealbreaker., • Solid grasp of customs processes and cross-border trade., • Genuine depth of knowledge on how freight actually works: costs, methods, what "good" looks like in the industry., • Comfortable communicating with everyone from carriers to senior stakeholders., • Sharp analytical instincts, paired with strong reporting and admin skills., • Excel fluency is a must-have, not a nice-to-have., • A real eye for detail, nothing slips through unnoticed., • Self-starter energy: someone who spots what needs doing and gets on with it., • Able to keep pace in a busy, fast-moving, multi-market setting. Why Apply? This is a genuine chance to build and run a regional logistics function from close to the ground up, spanning several markets and touching nearly every part of the business. You'll blend hands-on transport management with customs expertise, commercial negotiation, data-driven reporting and people leadership, all while playing a visible, high-impact role in how the business operates day to day. Due to high application volumes, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
