    Job Overview PA Associate PLLC is seeking two full-time Physician Assistants to join our growing team as independent contractors. This is an overnight position providing coverage within a high-acuity Neurocritical Care Unit, while also supporting the Neurosurgery consulting service. Our providers work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the multidisciplinary team while developing a high degree of clinical knowledge and autonomy. We are looking for motivated providers who share our passion for critical care, hard work, continued learning, and exceptional patient care. Previous Neurocritical Care, Critical Care, Neurosurgery, or other relevant acute-care experience is preferred, but it is not required. New graduates with the right attitude and desire to learn are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities • Provide overnight care and management of patients within the Neurocritical Care Unit., • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical and neurological examinations., • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the Neurocritical Care team., • Evaluate and manage acute neurological and critical care conditions., • Review and interpret laboratory testing, diagnostic studies, and imaging as appropriate to the provider’s role., • Manage critically ill neurosurgical and medical patients, including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, medication management, ICP crisis, Subarachnoid hemorrhages and other aspects of ICU care., • Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team., • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Electronic Health Record., • Complete appropriate professional billing for services provided., • Maintain a strong commitment to patient safety, communication, and high-quality patient care. Training & Professional Development Training and mentorship are provided to every Independent Contractor who joins our group, in order to meet the standards of service and learn EMR systems. The duration of training is individualized based on prior experience, clinical progression, effort, and demonstrated readiness for independent practice. Compensation & Additional Earning Opportunities • Competitive training compensation starting at 75/hour depending on experience, • Competitive working compensation of up to $100/hour, • Professional billing opportunities with additional quarterly payouts based on collections, • Full-time contractors receive priority for shift scheduling, additional shift allocation, and requests for time off Providers will receive education and training on appropriate professional billing and documentation. Once eligible to bill independently, providers have the opportunity to receive additional quarterly compensation based on their professional collections. Schedule: • Overnight position, • 3 shifts per week, • Minimum of 12 shifts per month, • 4 weekend shifts per month required, which include Friday, Saturday, or Sunday nights, • Full-time contractors receive priority when scheduling shifts, requesting time off, and allocating available additional shifts Requirements • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant., • Current or eligible for New York State PA, • Appropriate national board certification., • Strong interest in Neurocritical Care, Critical Care, Neurosurgery, or acute inpatient medicine., • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment., • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to patient care., • Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and continue developing clinically., • Neurocritical Care, Neurosurgery, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, or other relevant inpatient experience is preferred but not required., • New graduates are encouraged to apply.
