Job DescriptionJob Title: Plumber Job Description This role focuses on the installation, assembly, testing, and maintenance of plumbing systems within a modular home manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for rough-in and finish plumbing work, interpreting construction drawings, installing water supply and drainage systems, and ensuring all plumbing components meet quality and code requirements. The position requires strong plumbing experience, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and craftsmanship. Responsibilities • Install, assemble, and connect water supply, drain, waste, and vent piping systems in modular residential units., • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, plumbing layouts, and construction plans to ensure accurate installation., • Perform rough-in plumbing including pipe fitting, water lines, drain lines, vents, and fixture preparation., • Install and connect plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, tubs, showers, faucets, water heaters, and appliances., • Test plumbing systems for leaks, pressure, and functionality to ensure compliance with quality standards., • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, faulty fixtures, and defective components., • Use hand tools, power tools, pipe cutters, threading equipment, and other plumbing tools safely and effectively., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety policies., • Collaborate with production teams, electricians, carpenters, and supervisors to meet production schedules., • Ensure all work complies with applicable plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company quality standards. Essential Skills • At least 3 years of plumbing experience in residential, commercial, or modular construction., • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, fittings, and installation techniques., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plumbing schematics, and construction drawings., • Experience with PEX, PVC, copper, ABS, and other commonly used plumbing materials., • Proficiency using plumbing hand tools and power tools., • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues efficiently., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship., • Understanding of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and best practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Journeyman plumbing experience preferred., • Experience in modular home manufacturing or residential new construction is highly desired., • Knowledge of water heater installation and hookup procedures., • Experience performing pressure testing and system inspections., • Ability to lift materials and work in various positions including kneeling, bending, and reaching., • Familiarity with production-based environments and meeting daily installation goals., • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attendance record., • Ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed. Work Environment This position is based in a modern manufacturing facility where modular homes are assembled indoors. Employees work alongside multiple skilled trades in a production-driven environment focused on efficiency, safety, and craftsmanship. The schedule is typically Monday through Friday, with overtime and occasional Saturdays available based on production needs. The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting materials, and working with various plumbing tools and equipment while maintaining high quality standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Sacramento, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
