This is a full-time, traveling, year-round, "On-Site" position. On-Site at various locations/states depending on the assigned projects. Build a Year-Round Career in Industrial Concrete Repair and Specialty Construction CCS Group is seeking dependable, safety-focused Traveling Construction Laborers to perform hands-on work involving specialized concrete repair, protective coatings, maintenance, and construction projects throughout the United States. This is a physically demanding traveling position for individuals who are willing to work hard, learn specialized construction skills, and become part of a consistent project crew. Prior construction experience is preferred but not required. A typical project assignment lasts approximately four to seven weeks, followed by approximately four to five days at home. The exact rotation may vary based on project duration, customer requirements, crew needs, and operational demands. The assigned crew generally travels, works, and takes scheduled time off together. Because each employee represents a significant part of a small crew, dependable attendance and reliability are essential to project safety, productivity, and completion. A typical project schedule example is: • Monday through Saturday, approximately 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., • Overtime and extended hours based on project requirements, • Occasional schedule changes based on weather, customer operations, safety conditions, deadlines, and other jobsite needs Key Responsibilities • Perform physical construction work involving specialized concrete repair, coatings, surface preparation, maintenance, and related project activities., • Follow instructions from the Superintendent, Foreman, and other assigned project leaders., • Prepare surfaces and assist with concrete removal, repair, placement, coatings, and other specialized construction processes., • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, construction equipment, and machinery after receiving required training and authorization., • Load, unload, move, organize, and install tools, equipment, materials, and supplies., • Follow project drawings, specifications, repair guidelines, work instructions, and established procedures., • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout each shift., • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, hazard assessments, inspections, and required safety training., • Follow CCS Group, customer, OSHA, MSHA, and jobsite safety requirements., • Properly use, inspect, and maintain required personal protective equipment., • Promptly report unsafe conditions, injuries, incidents, near misses, damaged equipment, and other concerns., • Assist with project mobilization, demobilization, trailer inventory, equipment preparation, and jobsite cleanup., • Complete required classroom, virtual, computer-based, and hands-on training and related documentation., • Protect company-owned and rented tools, equipment, vehicles, trailers, and materials., • Maintain regular and dependable attendance throughout each project assignment., • Perform other related duties based on project and operational needs. Physical and Work Environment Requirements This is a hands-on construction laborer position. The employee must be able to perform the following essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation: • Inspect and identify safety, equipment, material, and quality concerns to the Crew Foreman and Superintendent., • Work at heights exceeding 150 feet while properly using required fall-protection equipment., • Work in confined or restricted spaces., • Use hand tools, power tools, construction equipment, and required personal protective equipment., • Work in noisy, dusty, dirty, wet, hot, cold, windy, and changing weather conditions., • Remain in a stationary position for portions of the workday when required., • Climb ladders, scaffolding, stairs, and industrial structures, including while carrying tools, equipment, or materials., • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, grip, and maintain balance for extended periods, including shifts lasting up to approximately 12 hours., • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull tools, equipment, and materials weighing up to 80 pounds., • Occasionally move heavier tools, equipment, or materials weighing up to 125 pounds, independently or with team or mechanical assistance, depending on the task., • Work extended shifts, overtime, Saturdays, and irregular hours based on project needs., • Travel nationwide for assignments typically lasting four to seven weeks. What You Bring: (Minimum Qualifications) • Willingness and ability to travel nationwide, work extended project rotations, and work the required Monday-through-Saturday schedule., • Ability to work Monday through Saturday, extended shifts, overtime, and irregular hours based on project needs., • Regular and dependable attendance throughout each project assignment., • Ability to listen to, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions., • Ability to learn specialized concrete repair, coatings, equipment operation, and construction techniques., • Ability to work safely and cooperatively with crew members, supervisors, customers, and other contractors., • Ability to complete required training through virtual, classroom-based, or computer-based platforms, including reviewing training materials, participating in remote sessions, and completing required documentation in a sedentary setting., • Ability to adjust to changing work assignments, project locations, schedules, and jobsite conditions., • Ability to perform basic arithmetic for measurements, material quantities, counting, and inventory., • Ability to meet the physical and environmental requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred But Not Required Qualifications and Certifications The following qualifications are preferred but are not required at the time of hire. CCS Group will provide employees with opportunities and resources to obtain the following training and certifications: • High school diploma or GED preferred., • Prior experience in industrial, commercial, concrete, civil, agricultural, construction, coatings, structural, masonry, millwright, shotcrete, nozzleman, carbon fiber, exterior painting, specialty construction, or general labor., • Valid driver’s license and a driving record that satisfies company and insurance requirements., • OSHA 10 or 30-Hour Construction certification, • MSHA Experienced Miner certification, • Understands ICRI and ACI repair guidelines, • Aerial lift or operator training, • Nozzleman Certification, • ACI or ASA wet-mix or vertical certification, • SAIA Suspended Scaffold Competent Person certification, Frame Scaffold Competent Person certification, • Applicable DOT qualification or endorsement, • First Aid and CPR certification, • Fall-protection training, • Confined-space training, • Concrete repair or restoration experience, • Shotcrete experience, • Industrial coatings experience, • Silo, grain-handling, or agricultural facility experience, • Structural repair experience Compensation, Perks, and Benefits CCS Group offers: • $20.00 - $24.00 hourly & Eligible for OT. Hourly Rate is based on relevant experience, qualifications, and certifications, • $1,000 sign-on bonus paid out: $500 @ 90 days and $500 @ 180 days, • Referral Bonus for existing employees of $2,000 when new hire reaches 90 days, • Per Diem is $25/day for all days worked over 4 hours.
