Job Description Job Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description Join a high-volume distribution facility as a general warehouse worker, supporting both bulk shipments to retail locations and an active e-commerce operation that ships auto parts worldwide. In this role, you move across multiple warehouse sections, handle varied tasks throughout the day, and support order fulfillment by accurately picking, documenting, and preparing items for shipment. Responsibilities • Move throughout all areas of a large warehouse to support daily operational needs across multiple departments., • Perform general warehouse duties, including picking, staging, and handling inventory for bulk distribution and e-commerce orders., • Use RF scan guns to follow pick lists, accurately locate and pull specific auto parts, and deliver them to designated stations for packaging and shipping., • Work with computers to document orders, update inventory information, and ensure accurate processing of shipments., • Adapt to changing priorities and be flexible as you are cross-trained and assigned to different tasks and departments based on operational needs., • Support the e-commerce section by efficiently picking, organizing, and preparing items to meet customer order and shipping deadlines., • Maintain inventory accuracy by following established procedures for picking, scanning, and documentation., • Walk extensively throughout the facility to complete assigned tasks and ensure timely movement of goods., • Follow all warehouse safety guidelines and proper equipment handling procedures while performing daily activities. Essential Skills • Previous warehouse experience in a distribution or fulfillment environment., • Proficiency in basic computer use to document orders and update inventory information., • Ability to learn quickly and be cross-trained across multiple warehouse tasks and departments., • Ability to move throughout a large warehouse and perform extensive walking during the shift., • Experience with warehouse picking processes and working from pick lists., • Ability to use RF scan guns or similar handheld scanning devices., • Basic understanding of inventory handling and stock organization. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment., • in inventory control or stock management., • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment., • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when picking and documenting orders., • Willingness to work a weekend-based schedule and extended shifts. Work Environment This role is based in a large auto parts distribution warehouse that supports both bulk shipments to stores and an active e-commerce operation. You work primarily on a weekend shift from Saturday through Tuesday, noon to 10:30 p.m., with extensive walking throughout the facility. The environment is fast-paced and physical, involving frequent movement, handling of parts, and use of warehouse technologies such as RF scan guns and computers. You may work in different sections of the warehouse during the day, and you are cross-trained to support various tasks and departments as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Branford, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
