Mackie Myers is partnering with a CPG company on a Supply Chain Director role. About the Company A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Supply Chain Operations to lead end-to-end supply chain functions. This leadership role oversees sourcing, procurement, planning, inventory management, customer fulfillment, and operational support activities to ensure strong customer service, reliable supply, and scalable growth. About the Role The ideal candidate is an experienced supply chain leader who can balance long-term strategy with day-to-day execution, drive continuous improvement initiatives, strengthen supplier partnerships, optimize inventory performance, and improve operational efficiency across the business. Responsibilities • Provide leadership across procurement, strategic sourcing, supply planning, inventory management, and customer fulfillment functions., • Develop and execute supply chain strategies that improve service levels, material availability, inventory performance, operational efficiency, and cost management., • Direct supplier management activities including vendor selection, contract negotiations, sourcing initiatives, performance management, and risk mitigation., • Lead planning processes including demand and supply planning, forecasting, inventory strategies, production planning, and capacity alignment., • Ensure alignment between customer demand, inventory availability, procurement activities, manufacturing schedules, and distribution requirements., • Oversee customer order fulfillment, issue resolution, service performance, and customer communications., • Identify and resolve critical supply, planning, inventory, and fulfillment challenges while minimizing business disruption., • Partner closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, Finance, Commercial, Product Development, and external business partners., • Establish, track, and improve key performance metrics related to supplier performance, inventory optimization, service levels, forecast accuracy, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency., • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred., • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, planning, logistics, manufacturing operations, or related functions., • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and developing talent in a complex operational environment., • Experience within a manufacturing, consumer products, food, life sciences, healthcare, or similarly regulated industry is highly desirable., • Strong expertise in sourcing strategy, supplier relationship management, contract negotiations, inventory management, and supply planning., • Thorough understanding of MRP/ERP systems, forecasting, production planning, inventory controls, and analytics., • Experience supporting customer fulfillment, order management, and service performance initiatives., • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business challenges, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions., • Strong communication, negotiation, influence, and stakeholder management skills., • Advanced proficiency with ERP systems, reporting platforms, Microsoft Office, and data-driven decision-making tools.
