Job Description Summit Trucking is hiring experienced Class A CDL company drivers for its regional dry van fleet. Drivers primarily run Texas with regional freight into Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and western Tennessee while getting reliable home time and steady miles. All freight is dry van and no-touch, running roughly 50/50 drop & hook and live load/unload. What Summit Offers • Up to $0.65 CPM — $0.60 CPM base plus the Green Incentive, an extra $0.05 CPM for safe driving and using your APU, • All loaded and empty miles paid, • Practical-mile pay, • 2,000 to 2,400 miles per week, • Home Friday afternoon or evening, back out Sunday or Monday, • You may also be home during the week for a 10-hour break, depending on freight and location, • 100% no-touch dry van freight, • Freight is roughly 50/50 drop & hook and live load/unload, • Late-model Freightliners with 68 MPH pedal and cruise, • 2022 or newer fleet with APUs and inverters, • Samsara ELD and PrePass, • Weekly direct deposit, • Medical, dental and vision benefits, • 401(k), • Paid vacation, • Life and optional supplemental insurance, • Pet program, • Passenger program, • DOT inspection safety bonus, • Professional dispatch and breakdown supportDriver Requirements, • Valid Class A CDL, • 18 months verifiable, recent tractor-trailer experience, • DOT pre-employment drug screen, • Clean driving record — no history of a revoked or suspended license, • No DUI, DWI or reckless driving violations in the past 10 years, and not more than one DUI/DWI, • 25 years of age or older, • Stable work history, • If you have been through the SAP program, it must be at least 3 years since return to dutyTypical Regional Schedule Regional drivers get home Friday afternoon or evening and head back out Sunday or Monday. Depending on the route, you may also get home during the week for a 10-hour break. Regional Operating Area Primarily Texas with additional freight through Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and western Tennessee. We hire primarily out of Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Oklahoma City and Tulsa, plus Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas and Tennessee.
