Summary: Roadway Moving is seeking experienced and dependable CDL Class A OTR Freight Drivers to transport freight warehouse-to-warehouse between our nationwide hub locations. This is a 1099 independent contractor position offering consistent miles and work opportunities with strong earning potential for qualified drivers (up to $200,000+ annually). Drivers will operate our newest up-to-date equipment, running long-haul routes supporting our growing network of hubs across the U.S., including Texas, Chicago, Florida, California, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Moving company experience is strongly preferred but not required for the right candidate with proven OTR experience. We are also open to working with OTR drivers who have their own trailers. Responsibilities: • Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on over-the-road (OTR) routes, • Transport freight warehouse-to-warehouse between Roadway Moving hubs and partner locations, • Maintain on-time pick-ups and deliveries while following assigned schedules and routes, • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly, • Ensure cargo is transported safely and securely (as required by load type), • Follow all DOT regulations, company safety standards, and traffic laws, • Communicate with dispatch regarding route status, delays, and delivery updates, • Maintain accurate trip documentation, delivery paperwork, and required logs, • Represent Roadway Moving professionally at all customer, warehouse, and hub locations Qualifications: • Valid CDL Class A license, • Minimum 1 year of verifiable freight OTR driving experience, • Moving company driving experience preferred, • Clean driving record (MVR) and ability to meet insurance requirements, • Ability to pass background check and drug screening (as required), • Strong safety mindset and knowledge of DOT compliance, • Reliable, professional, and able to work independently, • Comfortable with long-haul travel and flexible scheduling, • Drivers with their own trailers are welcome to apply Compensation: • Mileage-based pay: $0.80 per mile, • Earning potential: $150,000–$200,000+ annually Why Roadway? Driver- Transportation: Duties & Responsibilities Monday- Friday; Hourly; Medical Benefits; Earned vacation/sick time; Holidays Driver Responsibilities Transport and Escort *Transport older adults to and from the center and occasionally to various destinations as required. (i.e., medical appointments, benefits , etc.) *Ensure the safety of the passengers through the use of seat belts, wheel chair brackets and other safety devices. *Ensure that vehicle safety is adhered to at all times (i.e., passengers are secured and seated before driver moves) *Assist in the scheduling of routes. *Complete daily passenger log. *Collect and record participants contributions. *Ensure all required vehicle signs/postings are visible and up-to-date. Vehicle Maintenance *Keep vehicle clean (inside & outside) and in good operating condition. *Inspect vehicle daily and report any operational or structural defects immediately. *Oversee the maintenance, repair, and cleaning of the vehicle (gas, oil, changing tires, wheelchair lift & other inspections, fire extinguisher etc.) *Keep daily gasoline and mileage records *Keep vehicle repair log *Pick up and return the vehicle to the garage or parking place daily. Duties Safely operate 12 passenger van in compliance with all traffic laws and transportation safety regulations. Assist passengers with mobility needs, including wheelchair assistance and boarding/alighting procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times. Follow emergency response procedures for transportation incidents, including CPR and first aid when necessary, to address passenger health or safety issues promptly. Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle interior and exterior, performing pre-trip inspections and reporting any mechanical issues immediately. Communicate effectively with passengers using clear language; manage behavior and discipline when needed to ensure a respectful environment. Respond quickly to traffic changes or route adjustments to ensure on-time arrivals while prioritizing passenger safety. Adhere to all driving codes, policies, and local/state commercial driving laws while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. Experience Proven experience in driving, including transit bus operation, school bus driving, truck driving with a strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations. Experience working with seniors is highly desirable; ability to manage behavior and provide compassionate customer service. Knowledge of emergency response procedures for transportation situations such as accidents or medical emergencies; CPR certification is a plus. Familiarity with wheelchair assistance techniques Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are an advantage for serving diverse communities.     ENTRY-LEVEL SUPPORT ROLE AVAILABLE FOR 26-27 SCHOOL YEAR - NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED About the Role Basic Office Support: • Greet and check-in visitors following school security protocols, ensuring all guests are properly signed in and receive visitor badges., • Coordinate with teachers and staff to deliver requested supplies from the main office to classrooms or workrooms as needed., • Monitor and restock frequently used office supplies, such as paper, pens, and forms (i.e. MAFs), to maintain a functional work environment., • Assist with digital filing and organizing important documents, ensuring that records are easily accessible and kept in the proper locations. Supporting Attendance Tracking: • Assist with daily attendance processes, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting as directed by the BOM., • Ensure arrival is set up each day (i.e.: stanchions, CAASS machines in place)., • Support at arrival by monitoring our CAASS scholar attendance scan-in system and escalating issues as needed. Assisting with Technology, Supply, and Inventory Management: • Check supply levels in the Teacher Work Room (TWR) daily and restock essential items (e.g., paper, pens, markers, snacks) to ensure teachers have the materials needed., • Carry and deliver scholar snacks throughout the school building as scheduled., • Monitor and document inventory levels regularly, noting when supplies are running low and informing the BOM to reorder as needed., • Respond promptly to teacher requests for specific supplies, • Troubleshoot basic scholar Chromebook issues and understand the system for distributing new technology, escalating more complex issues to the BOM or IT support. Facilities Support: • Conduct routine facility checks of the school building as directed by the BOM. (Building Operations Manager), • Ensure rapid acknowledgment of facilities slackbot issues and escalate them to the appropriate personnel (BOM or facilities team) according to established protocols., • Walk through hallways, classrooms, restrooms, and common areas, ensuring they are clean, safe, and free of hazards. General Support During Arrival & Dismissal: • Serve as extra support by being present and observant during arrival and dismissal times, while adhering to the guideline of not assuming any leadership and/or scholar management responsibilities., • Aid in recording tardy arrivals or early dismissals, ensuring that accurate records are kept and communicating any issues to the BOM., • Direct students, families, and staff to designated areas, helping manage foot traffic to keep arrival and dismissal processes efficient. Qualifications • 0-2 years of professional experience in an administrative or support role preferred., • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred., • Adaptable and flexible to a fast-paced environment., • Positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic., • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail., • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently., • Basic computer skills and comfort with technology., • Good verbal communication skills., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team., • Eagerness to learn and contribute to the smooth operation of the school.
