Job Description Job Description: This Systems Administrator role is ideal for candidates with strong experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID environments. The position is responsible for administering servers, endpoints, cloud services, identity and access management, cybersecurity, backups, and network operations while ensuring system reliability, security, and business continuity. The role also provides Tier 2/3 technical support, drives automation and process improvements through tools such as PowerShell, and partners with vendors and internal stakeholders to maintain a secure, scalable, and high-performing technology environment. Core Responsibility Areas Hardware and Software Management: Administer hardware, software, endpoints, operating systems, software deployments, licensing, asset inventory, technology lifecycle planning, patching, standards, and procurement support. Include Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra, and cloud administration responsibilities here or as a separate Cloud Administration section. Server and Infrastructure Administration: Maintain Windows and/or Linux servers, virtualization platforms, storage, system performance, capacity planning, operating system deployment, and infrastructure standards. Cloud and Microsoft 365 Administration: Administer Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, cloud resources, licensing, service health, and cloud security configuration. Identity and Access Management: Manage Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, user provisioning and deprovisioning, groups, RBAC, MFA, Conditional Access, privileged access, account reviews, and access control standards. Cybersecurity and Compliance: Support endpoint security, vulnerability remediation, threat monitoring, incident response, audit readiness, data protection, encryption, compliance evidence, and security policy enforcement. Backup, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity: Administer backups, recovery procedures, restore testing, disaster recovery documentation, continuity planning, and availability improvements for critical systems. Network Administration: Support DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, firewall coordination, wireless networks, connectivity troubleshooting, monitoring, and escalation with network or service providers. Automation, Documentation, and Process Improvement: Use PowerShell or other tools to automate repetitive work, standardize configuration, maintain SOPs, document system architecture, improve workflows, and support change control.
