Job Description Job Type: Full-Time Industry: Residential New Construction Position: Superintendent Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee the construction of new multifamily homes from site preparation through final completion. The Superintendent will be responsible for managing day-to-day field operations, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, maintaining construction schedules, and ensuring each home is built safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards. The ideal candidate is an organized, hands-on construction professional who can manage multiple trades, identify problems before they become costly, and keep projects moving on schedule. Key Responsibilities • Oversee daily construction activities for new home construction projects., • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel., • Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and construction details., • Maintain project schedules and ensure work is completed according to established timelines., • Schedule inspections and coordinate with inspectors, municipalities, and other project stakeholders., • Conduct regular jobsite inspections to monitor workmanship, progress, and quality., • Ensure construction is completed in accordance with plans, building codes, and company standards., • Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrections with subcontractors., • Verify materials are delivered and available when needed., • Coordinate sequencing of trades to prevent delays and rework., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite., • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements., • Track project progress and communicate schedule or construction issues to management., • Review completed work prior to moving the project to the next phase., • Assist with punch lists, final inspections, and home completion., • Communicate professionally with homeowners, vendors, subcontractors, inspectors, and company management., • Document jobsite conditions, progress, inspections, and changes as required., • Troubleshoot construction issues and develop practical solutions in the field. Qualifications • 3+ years of experience as a residential construction superintendent, preferably with a new home builder., • Strong understanding of the residential construction process from grading/sitework through final completion., • Ability to read and interpret a full set of construction plans and specifications., • Knowledge of residential building codes and construction standards., • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling., • Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades., • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills., • Excellent communication and organizational skills., • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines., • Proficiency with smartphones, email, and construction scheduling/documentation software., • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation., • OSHA or other construction safety training is a plus. Preferred Experience Experience overseeing the construction of Multi-Family homes is strongly preferred.
