IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THE POSITION PLEASE USE THIS LINK TO SCHEDULE A VIDEO INTERVIEW WITH JOHN https://talentassistant.aerotek.com/assistant/bookings/t2T-76SY Responsibilities • Set up and operate CNC brake press machines to perform metal fabrication according to production requirements., • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and part specifications to understand dimensions, tolerances, and part functionality., • Produce parts to specification with a zero‑defect mindset, consistently meeting quality and accuracy standards., • Perform in‑process quality checks using company‑supplied measuring tools to verify dimensions and part conformity., • Accurately track production quantities, scrap, and defects in accordance with company procedures., • Set up fabrication machinery and tooling as required to support production runs and job changeovers., • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, adhering to all safety and housekeeping standards., • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and support continuous improvement initiatives., • Follow established safety, quality, and operational procedures while working with CNC brake presses and related equipment., • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall manufacturing operations. Essential Skills • At least 6+ months of hands‑on experience as a press brake operator in a manufacturing facility, from entry level up to intermediate level., • Demonstrated experience setting up and operating CNC brake presses in a production environment., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and part specifications, including understanding part functionality., • Proficiency using standard measuring devices (such as calipers, tape measures, and other precision tools) for in‑process quality checks., • Knowledge of basic metal fabrication processes and sheet metal handling., • Ability to operate press brake and general production machinery safely and efficiently., • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as effectively in a team environment., • High school diploma or equivalent level of education or experience., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing zero‑defect parts., • Basic CNC operation knowledge related to brake presses and metal forming. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience working in low‑ to mid‑volume metal fabrication environments., • Forklift experience or willingness to obtain forklift certification., • Familiarity with general production workflows and shop‑floor processes., • Comfort working with sheet metal, brake presses, and related fabrication equipment., • Strong communication skills to collaborate with supervisors and team members., • Reliability in tracking production data, including quantities, scrap, and defects., • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and skill development related to CNC equipment and metal fabrication. Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing shop‑floor environment with moderate noise levels, where employees work directly with CNC brake press equipment and other metal fabrication machinery. The standard schedule is 1st shift: Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The position requires standing, walking, bending, and handling materials throughout the shift while following established safety and quality procedures. Employees are expected to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel‑toed boots and hearing protection, and to maintain an organized, safety‑focused workspace in alignment with company policies and shop‑floor standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
