Job Description Job Title: Production Technician Pay: $21-35/hr Job Description The Production Technician assembles and fabricates antennas used in the aerospace and defense industry. This role involves precise mechanical and electronic assembly work, including drilling, lasing, etching, and soldering components, as well as operating various machines and fabrication equipment. The ideal candidate brings prior production experience, learns quickly during training, and consistently delivers high-quality work with strong attention to detail. Responsibilities • Assemble and fabricate antennas for use in aerospace and defense applications according to detailed specifications and procedures., • Perform drilling, lasing, and etching operations on components using appropriate tools and equipment., • Carry out soldering tasks on electronic and mechanical components to meet quality and reliability standards., • Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to complete assemblies accurately., • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during the assembly and fabrication process., • Operate production line and fabrication equipment, including machine operation as needed to support production schedules., • Inspect work in progress and completed assemblies to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications., • Follow established production processes and standard operating procedures to maintain consistency and efficiency., • Support training activities by learning quickly on a split shift schedule until fully trained, then transitioning to the assigned shift., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety guidelines and reporting any issues promptly., • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and resolve issues that arise during assembly., • Document work as required, including recording production data and reporting any deviations or defects. Essential Skills • Minimum 2 years of production experience in a military, aerospace, government, or electronics company., • Demonstrated soldering experience in a production or electronic assembly environment., • Hands-on experience with electronic and mechanical assembly in a production line setting., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and related technical documentation., • Proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely and accurately., • Experience operating production and fabrication equipment, including machine operation., • Strong hand–eye coordination to perform detailed and precise assembly tasks., • Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality and accurate work., • Ability to train on a split shift schedule (10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) until fully trained., • Ability to work effectively in a structured production environment with defined processes and timelines. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in antenna assembly or related aerospace and defense products is beneficial., • Experience in electronic assembly, including working with small components and fine soldering, is an advantage., • Comfort working with a variety of fabrication equipment and adapting to new tools and processes., • Ability to learn new tasks quickly and apply feedback to improve performance., • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with production staff and support functions. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Bedford, NH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $72800.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
