We are seeking an experienced Clinical Director to provide clinical leadership and oversight across our facilities located throughout Orange County, California. Position Summary Are you an experienced clinical leader looking to make a meaningful impact in behavioral healthcare? Quadrant Health Group is seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Director to provide leadership, supervision, and oversight of clinical services across our Orange County facilities. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Clinical Director works collaboratively with facility leadership, medical providers, Operations, Admissions/Marketing, Human Resources, and other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, and compliant behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment. This is a multi-site leadership position. The Clinical Director will be responsible for maintaining consistent clinical standards across assigned Orange County programs and must be available to regularly travel between and provide on-site oversight at all Quadrant Health Group facilities throughout Orange County. What You'll Do Clinical Leadership & Program Oversight • Provide clinical leadership and oversight across all assigned Quadrant Health Group facilities in Orange County., • Regularly travel between Orange County facilities to provide on-site clinical supervision, leadership, staff support, chart review, and program oversight., • Maintain consistent clinical standards, policies, documentation practices, and quality of care across all assigned facilities., • Collaborate with Operations and clinical staff to determine the appropriate continuum of care for clients., • Direct clinical staff in the day-to-day delivery of trauma-informed, evidence-based behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment services., • Oversee client assessments, treatment planning, discharge planning, and coordination of care., • Monitor clinical caseloads and treatment programming to ensure appropriate utilization of clinical resources., • Review curricula and other program materials for clinical appropriateness and approve new clinical programming as appropriate., • Ensure clinical staff are appropriately trained and competent in the curricula and treatment modalities used within the programs., • Provide individual, family, and group therapy as needed and appropriate to the role., • Support crisis intervention, risk assessment, and clinical decision-making as needed. Clinical Supervision & Staff Development • Provide clinical supervision and oversight to therapists, counselors, and other clinical personnel across assigned facilities., • Provide supervision to associate-level clinicians when applicable and when qualified to do so under California Board of Behavioral Sciences requirements., • Ensure supervision is provided and documented in accordance with applicable California laws, regulations, professional board requirements, and organizational policies., • Assign and monitor clinical caseloads and evaluate staff performance., • Provide ongoing coaching, training, mentorship, and professional development to clinical staff., • Identify staff strengths and opportunities for improvement and develop appropriate performance improvement strategies., • Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and training of clinical personnel., • Promote collaboration and communication among clinical, medical, and operational teams. Compliance, Documentation & Quality Improvement • Review and oversee clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge documentation, and coordination-of-care records., • Conduct routine chart audits and quality reviews to ensure documentation is complete, accurate, timely, and compliant., • Maintain working knowledge of applicable California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) requirements, California regulatory requirements, ASAM criteria, and accreditation standards applicable to assigned programs., • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, professional ethical standards, and client confidentiality requirements., • Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, utilization review, risk management, and corrective action activities., • Assist with preparation for regulatory inspections, licensing reviews, and accreditation surveys., • Identify opportunities for clinical program improvement and implement corrective action plans as appropriate., • Participate in leadership meetings regarding the development, improvement, and expansion of clinical programs. What You'll Bring Skills, Knowledge and Competencies • Strong knowledge of clinical best practices and evidence-based treatment modalities for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders., • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, behavioral health treatment, addiction, family systems, and recovery-oriented services., • Working knowledge of California behavioral health and substance use disorder regulatory requirements., • Knowledge of DHCS requirements applicable to substance use disorder treatment programs., • Knowledge of ASAM criteria and appropriate levels of care., • Familiarity with accreditation standards such as The Joint Commission (TJC) or CARF, as applicable., • Knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality requirements., • Strong understanding of professional ethics, clinical boundaries, client rights, and confidentiality., • Demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor, develop, and evaluate clinical staff., • Ability to lead clinical operations consistently across multiple treatment locations., • Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex client and staff situations., • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills., • Strong organizational and time-management skills., • Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical, medical, operational, and executive leadership., • Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) systems. Qualifications • Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or another relevant behavioral health field., • Required: Current, active, and unrestricted California clinical license, such as LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC, or another qualifying California clinical license appropriate to the position., • Must meet applicable California Board of Behavioral Sciences requirements to provide clinical supervision if supervising associate-level clinicians., • Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience, preferably in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, residential treatment, or co-occurring disorders., • Demonstrated clinical leadership and supervisory experience required., • Experience overseeing clinical services across multiple programs or locations strongly preferred., • Experience with substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health treatment strongly preferred., • Knowledge of California DHCS requirements and applicable regulatory and accreditation standards preferred., • Ability and willingness to regularly travel between all assigned Quadrant Health Group facilities throughout Orange County, California., • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements if driving is required to travel between facilities., • Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain upon hire., • Successful completion of applicable pre-employment requirements, including criminal background screening, drug screening, and required health screening.
