The Die Room Clerk is responsible for maintaining accountability and organization of all foil stamp and die cutter dies, supporting finishing operations, and assisting with packaging and production activities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring production schedules run efficiently by managing die inventory, coordinating die availability, monitoring die usage, and supporting quality, safety, and operational excellence throughout the finishing department. What you’ll do as an Die Room Clerk: • Maintain accountability of all foil stamp and die cutter dies and associated equipment, including strippers, boards, and related materials., • Receive, inspect, catalog, and track inbound dies through SAP and manual inventory processes., • Update and improve die inventory systems to ensure accuracy and traceability., • Coordinate die availability based on production schedules and deliver dies to machines as needed., • Monitor die usage, track impressions and cuts, and report dies approaching end-of-life conditions., • Work closely with Layout Engineering, CAD, and Purchasing teams to ensure proper die availability and replacement., • Assist with disposal of damaged or worn dies and support ordering of new dies and materials., • Perform manual finishing operations including machine setups, feeding cards or packs, catching cards or decks, assembly, and packaging., • Inspect products for quality and communicate issues to machine operators or leadership., • Assist with routine preventative maintenance and housekeeping activities., • Train team members on essential job functions as required., • Maintain a safe work environment by identifying and reporting hazards immediately., • Support production, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the department. We’re looking for a Die Room Clerk with: • High school diploma or equivalent preferred., • Manufacturing, inventory control, warehousing, finishing, packaging, or production experience preferred., • Ability to learn and utilize SAP for die inventory and tracking processes., • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, or the ability to learn., • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills., • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining individual accountability., • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality concerns and inventory discrepancies., • Ability to prioritize tasks and perform under production deadlines and material constraints., • Ability to distinguish colors., • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies and procedures., • Ability to handle chemicals in accordance with company policies, safety guidelines, and applicable regulations., • Availability to work overtime, including weekends and extended hours, as required by production schedules. This position requires the ability to: • Frequently bend, squat, reach, push, pull, twist, and perform repetitive manual tasks., • Lift, carry, and handle materials and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds., • Reach above shoulder height and in front of the body when handling materials and inventory., • Operate hand carts and pallet jacks safely and effectively., • Assist with machine setups, production support activities, assembly, and packaging operations., • Work in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels., • Maintain compliance with all safety procedures, chemical handling requirements, and company policies., • Work a standard Monday through Friday schedule with overtime as needed., • Be regularly present and available during scheduled work hours to support production operations.
