Summary: The Carpentry Associate is primarily a Furniture Repair Technician, responsible for refurbishment and repair of assembled furniture and upholstery, restoration, assorted carpentry and/or woodworking. He/she will also make professionally constructed wooden crates. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: • MUST have strong customer service skills (always respectful, understanding, and courteous)., • Repairs scratches, dents, nicks, and gouges in primarily wood and/or metal., • Professionally matches colors and blends., • Performs structural repair of seating, case goods, living room upholstery, etc., • Determines whether completed furniture repairs meet quality standards., • Improves repair process innovations and documentation., • Will build wooden crates to size and according to the dimensions of items., • Ensures that the crates are constructed in such a way that the items contained therein may be safely and securely transported without damage., • Responsible for assembling and disassembling furniture and upholstery at our client locations., • Safely handles materials and operates material handling equipment to prevent injuries, prevent damage to equipment, and to ensure the quality of the product., • May occasionally paint interior office walls, put up shelves, and other "handyman" duties., • Works closely with delivery and fulfillment center teams to solve challenges and ensures quality., • Any other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Professional carpentry, wood working, refinishing, restoration, color matching skills., • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in operating woodworking and material handling equipment., • Demonstrated ability (and experience with) operating a table saw, chop saw, tape measure, nail gun, and other common carpentry tools., • Experience with other areas of precise woodworking and restoration, • Basic English verbal and written communication skills., • Ability and experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment., • Must be a team player, flexible with changing schedules, and ability to work at least a 40-hour schedule., • Experience with upholstery repair, • Prior experience in the moving industry. We are seeking a Dispatcher to join our growing operations team. This role will play a key role in coordinating day-to-day moving operations, assigning crews and trucks, monitoring routes, and ensuring efficient, safe, and on-time performance. This role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and a calm approach under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Coordinate and dispatch moving teams (drivers, foremen, helpers) for daily and overnight jobs., • Analyze scheduled moves and assign the appropriate crews, trucks, and equipment based on qualifications and workload., • Monitor active jobs for efficiency, safety, and timely completion., • Prepare and review all necessary job documentation (Bill of Lading, contracts, etc.) before dispatch., • Maintain accurate records of workforce availability, vehicle usage, and daily activity., • Communicate with moving teams throughout the shift to resolve issues, delays, or emergencies., • Report and document all incidents, vehicle issues, or safety-related matters in accordance with company policy., • Work closely with the Operations, Safety, and Fleet teams to ensure optimal workforce utilization and truck rotation., • Assist with booking hotels, roadside assistance, and other travel logistics as needed., • Provide daily and weekly reports on manpower, fleet status, and dispatch performance., • Uphold Roadway's customer service standards—always courteous, solution-oriented, and professional., • Any other related duties as assigned. Requirements: • Minimum 2 years of dispatching experience, highly preferrable experience with household goods or transportation/moving industry., • Knowledge of DOT state and federal regulations for commercial vehicles., • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dispatch management systems., • Excellent organizational and analytical skills; able to multitask and prioritize under pressure., • Ability to understand operational data and make informed scheduling decisions., • Dependable, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively., • Flexibility with schedule and willingness to adapt to business needs., • Ability to work in office 6 days/week during the summer. After the busy season, weekend day will be rotational.
