Job Description Job Title: Construction Foreman HIRING & INTERVIEW THIS WEEK Job Description The Construction Foreman oversees day-to-day field operations on construction sites, supervising crews, coordinating tasks, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring work is completed according to plans and schedules. This role serves as a critical link between field labor and project management, driving productivity, quality, and safety across all phases of construction. Responsibilities • Supervise daily field operations on construction sites and provide clear direction to crews., • Lead, motivate, and mentor field teams to maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards., • Coordinate tasks, labor, equipment, and materials to ensure work follows project plans and schedules., • Enforce jobsite safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA standards at all times., • Monitor workmanship and verify that all completed work meets project specifications and quality standards., • Troubleshoot field issues quickly and implement practical solutions to maintain workflow and prevent delays., • Communicate clearly with laborers, subcontractors, inspectors, and project managers to align expectations and resolve issues., • Review and interpret blueprints, site plans, and technical documents to guide daily activities., • Use basic reporting tools or mobile field applications to document progress, issues, and site conditions., • Support landfill and landfill gas–related construction activities as needed, ensuring safe and compliant operations., • Oversee the proper use of hand tools, mechanical equipment, and industrial or HVAC-related systems within the scope of the project., • Organize daily schedules, prioritize tasks, and adjust plans in response to site conditions and project changes., • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability among all crew members. Essential Skills • 5+ years of construction experience, with prior leadership experience preferred., • Strong construction knowledge, including site operations, tools, equipment, and trade practices., • Demonstrated crew leadership skills with the ability to direct, motivate, and mentor field teams., • Deep familiarity with OSHA standards and jobsite safety protocols., • Proven ability in scheduling and coordination to plan daily tasks, allocate resources, and prevent delays., • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve field issues quickly and maintain workflow., • Clear and professional communication skills for working with crews, subcontractors, inspectors, and project managers., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and technical documents., • Mechanical aptitude for working with construction, mechanical, industrial, and HVAC-related systems., • Proficiency with basic reporting tools or mobile field applications., • Valid driver’s license., • Strong organizational and time-management skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with landfill and landfill gas construction or operations., • Hands-on experience using hand tools and mechanical equipment in an industrial or construction setting., • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Must, • Comfort working in a fast-paced, field-based environment that requires adaptability and initiative. Work Environment This role is based on outdoor construction sites with regular exposure to weather conditions, jobsite noise, and heavy equipment. The foreman works closely with laborers, subcontractors, inspectors, and project managers throughout the day and may travel between job sites as needed, depending on project demands. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Brunswick, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
