CATERING MANAGER Location: Campbell, California, United States Compensation: $71,700 Base Salary + $10,000 Performance-Based Bonus + Benefits Job Type: Full-Time Start Date: Immediately We are a high-volume Spanish restaurant group in California seeking an experienced, hands-on Catering Manager to join our team. This is a hybrid role combining catering operations, event execution, client management, and sales. The ideal candidate is a hospitality professional who understands both sides of the catering business: delivering exceptional events operationally while actively developing relationships, generating new business, and growing catering revenue. This role is perfect for someone who is organized, energetic, commercially minded, and comfortable being both in the field and in front of clients. Responsibilities • Oversee the planning and execution of catering events from initial inquiry through completion, • Manage day-to-day catering operations, ensuring events are executed smoothly, efficiently, and to company standards, • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, private clients, event planners, and other business partners, • Respond to catering inquiries, prepare proposals, build menus, and close sales, • Proactively generate new catering business through networking, outreach, partnerships, referrals, and local business development, • Conduct client meetings, venue visits, tastings, and event consultations, • Coordinate staffing, equipment, rentals, transportation, food preparation, and event logistics, • Work closely with the kitchen and restaurant management teams to ensure seamless execution, • Be present at key events to oversee service, troubleshoot issues, and ensure an exceptional guest experience, • Manage event timelines, BEOs, contracts, deposits, payments, and other operational details, • Monitor catering costs, pricing, labor, food costs, and overall profitability, • Follow up with clients after events to encourage repeat business and referrals, • Track sales activity, leads, conversion rates, and catering revenue, • Help develop and implement strategies to grow the catering business, • Maintain high standards of hospitality, presentation, service, and professionalism, • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations Requirements • Minimum 3+ years of experience in catering, restaurant management, event management, hospitality sales, or a related field (required), • Experience in high-volume catering, events, restaurants, or hospitality environments (required), • Proven ability to generate sales and develop new business, • Strong client relationship and communication skills, • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, • Hands-on operational mindset with the ability to manage events in the field, • Strong sales and negotiation skills, • Ability to manage multiple events, clients, and priorities simultaneously, • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure, • Professional, energetic, and service-oriented personality, • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, • Knowledge of the local business and events community is a plus, • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Compensation & Benefits • Competitive compensation, • Competitive sales incentives / commission structure, • Two consecutive days off per week when operationally possible, • Managers meal provided, • 15 paid vacation days per year, • Medical insurance option and additional benefits, • Stable, full-time position in a busy, well-established restaurant group, • Opportunity to grow the catering business and take ownership of a key revenue channel Ideal Candidate This position is perfect for a Catering Manager with a hybrid operational and sales mindset.
