ABOUT THE ROLE: Newhaven Display is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to support product quality, supplier quality, customer quality issues, and continuous improvement initiatives across our display product portfolio. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that combines technical troubleshooting, failure analysis, supplier management, and quality system support. You will work closely with Engineering, Sales, Production, customers, and suppliers to investigate product issues, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and drive improvements that enhance product quality and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has experience working with electronic assemblies, PCBAs, electromechanical products, or similar technologies and is comfortable moving between the lab, production floor, supplier discussions, and customer communications. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Product Quality & Failure Analysis • Investigate customer returns, RMAs, and product failures., • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis on display modules, PCBAs, electronic assemblies, and related components., • Work closely with Engineering to identify corrective and preventive actions., • Analyze quality trends and identify opportunities to improve product performance and reliability., • Support product qualification, validation, and reliability testing activities. Supplier Quality Lead • Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and supplier investigations., • Work directly with international suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve performance., • Monitor supplier quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives., • Evaluate supplier processes and capabilities as needed. Manufacturing & Process Quality • Support incoming inspection, manufacturing quality, and process improvement initiatives., • Develop and maintain inspection procedures, test methods, work instructions, and quality documentation., • Partner with Production and Engineering to reduce defects, improve yields, and strengthen quality controls., • Participate in Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and product improvement efforts. Compliance & Quality Systems • Maintain compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements, including RoHS, REACH, and Conflict Minerals., • Support quality audits, documentation control, and quality management system activities., • Track and analyze quality KPIs and present findings and recommendations to management. WHAT YOU BRING: Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field., • 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Product Quality, or a related role., • Experience troubleshooting electronic products, PCBAs, electromechanical assemblies, or similar technologies to the component level is a MUST., • Experience conducting root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions., • Experience working directly with suppliers to resolve quality issues., • Ability to read schematics, engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation., • Strong written and verbal communication skills., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with LCD, OLED, TFT displays, consumer electronics, industrial electronics, or related products., • Experience with reliability testing, environmental testing, HALT/HASS, or product qualification testing., • Experience with quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, SPC, Mini tab, or JMP., • Knowledge of RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, and other electronics industry compliance requirements., • Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
