Job Description Job Summary A great hotel experience starts with a room that feels just right. As the Executive Housekeeper at Margaritaville Hotel Nashville, you'll lead the team responsible for making sure our guest rooms, public spaces, and laundry operation are clean, comfortable, welcoming, and ready for our guests to kick back and enjoy their stay. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in the details, knows how to bring out the best in their team, and understands that housekeeping is about much more than making beds - it's about creating an experience guests remember. You'll oversee the daily operation of the Housekeeping department, including staffing, scheduling, training, inspections, inventory, payroll, guest requests, and departmental financial performance. You'll work closely with hotel leadership and other departments to keep things running smoothly and make sure our guests and team members feel taken care of. Annual Bonus Opportunity This position is eligible to participate in the hotel's annual incentive program with the opportunity to earn a bonus of up to 25% of annual base salary, based on applicable program guidelines and individual/property performance. What You'll Do • Lead the day-to-day operation of the Housekeeping department while creating a positive, supportive, and team-focused environment., • Set the tone for exceptional housekeeping standards and take pride in ensuring the hotel looks and feels its best., • Lead, coach, train, and develop Housekeeping team members, helping them build the skills and confidence needed to succeed., • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, schedule, coach, recognize, and develop team members in accordance with hotel policies and procedures., • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, guest floors, lobbies, restrooms, restaurant and bar areas, linen rooms, and Housekeeping workspaces to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are consistently met., • Inspect VIP rooms and special arrival rooms to ensure they are guest-ready and meet hotel standards., • Monitor guest feedback and respond promptly to housekeeping-related concerns, requests, and service recovery opportunities., • Follow through on guest complaints and requests to ensure issues are resolved and appropriate follow-up is provided., • Work closely with Front Office, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and other departments to coordinate guest needs and maintain smooth hotel operations., • Partner with the General Manager and Chief Engineer on repairs, preventative maintenance, and property improvement projects related to guestrooms and public areas., • Monitor staffing levels, schedules, productivity, and payroll to ensure the department is appropriately staffed while managing labor costs., • Manage the Housekeeping department within established budget guidelines., • Prepare forecasts, budgets, reports, action plans, and other departmental documentation as needed., • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of linens, cleaning supplies, guestroom amenities, uniforms, and equipment., • Order and receive necessary Housekeeping supplies, linens, and equipment while managing costs responsibly., • Conduct regular inventory counts, including month-end inventories., • Maintain accurate records and ensure the department meets applicable internal audit and operational standards., • Maintain and oversee the hotel's Lost & Found program, ensuring items are properly documented, secured, and handled according to hotel procedures., • Establish and maintain effective housekeeping safety practices and ensure team members understand and follow all applicable safety procedures., • Report unsafe conditions and maintenance concerns promptly and follow through to ensure appropriate resolution., • Conduct departmental meetings and participate in hotel meetings as needed., • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and recognition., • Empower team members to take ownership of their work and deliver genuine, responsive hospitality., • Step in and perform the essential functions of Housekeeping positions when needed, including cross-training and supporting the team during busy periods., • Complete other duties as assigned by hotel leadership. What We're Looking For • At least 2 years of housekeeping management or supervisory experience in a hotel or hospitality environment., • Hotel management degree or equivalent hospitality experience preferred., • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a diverse tam., • Excellent communication and organizational skills., • Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, scheduling, productivity, inventories, and labor management., • Ability to confidently handle guest concerns and find solutions with a positive, service-focused attitude., • Strong attention to detail and a genuine pride in cleanliness and presentation., • Ability to work effectively with guests, team members, hotel leadership, and other departments., • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English., • Spanish language skills are a plus., • Basic to intermediate computer skills., • High school-level mathematical skills required., • Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the position., • Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays is a must. Financial & Operational Performance • Maintains appropriate staffing and productivity levels while managing labor effectively., • Keeps the department within budget and makes thoughtful decisions regarding supplies, equipment, and labor., • Maintains accurate inventory, payroll, forecasting, and departmental records., • Uses resources responsibly and looks for ways to improve efficiency without compromising guest service or quality. Safety & Accountability • Makes the safety of guests and team members a priority., • Ensures team members understand and follow hotel safety procedures., • Reports hazards, maintenance concerns, and other potential risks promptly., • Maintains appropriate key control, Lost & Found, and other security procedures.
