Production Manager Job Details & Benefits; • £42 000.00 circa depending on experience, • Monday to Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm & Friday 7:30am-1pm, • Long Service Award, • Birthday gift and days holiday on your birthday, • 33 days holiday per year including bank holidays pro rata, • Pension scheme Salary sacrifice and contributions at a higher % than statutory, • Additional family friendly benefits relating to maternity, paternity etc, • Staff discount on products, • Staff social calendar every year with business contributions to xmas parties, fun themed days and Strong focus on staff wellbeing, • Cycle to work scheme, • Jury Service- Full pay, • Excellent canteen facility with free tea & coffee, • Free parking Production Manager Job Duties; • To be the business lead on all matters concerning the production, • To manage the Departments Training Plans and to ensure all employees are multi skilled across the various Production activities, maintaining Competency Matrix, Individual training plans and Appraisals, • To actively lead the Production Team Leaders by means of coaching, mentoring and guidance, • To regularly liaise with other managers ensuring Production Schedules are delivered to the Production Lines to carry out the appropriate builds, • Maintain positive working relations with key stakeholders within the business, • Estimate costs and prepare budgets in line with Operational objectives, • Ensure production is carried out within the timeframes set to meet loading deadlines and ultimately the successful dispatch to the customers, • To ensure product quality is maintained in line with the businesses Quality Management systems, • In conjunction with the Production Team Leaders ensure adequate resources (workforce, raw materials etc.) are in place to meet daily targets, • To liaise with Stock control to ensure stock levels are sufficient to achieve build program, • Oversee regular stock checks, identifying potential shortfalls, • Support the implementation of engineering changes, production trials, model change and pilot builds, • To manage the Production teams time, attendance and bonus scheme, • To accurately collate the Departments statistical data for analysis and review, • Daily, weekly, monthly reporting of departments KPIs, providing regular reports for performance, safety and training outcomes to senior management, • In conjunction with the other operations mangers, oversee the cleanliness of the yard, • To Manage all Human Resource and Employee relations requirements of the Production department Production Manager Person Specification; • Previous management experience is essential, • To be able to demonstrate coaching, mentoring and employee relations skills, • Proficient in MS Office and ERP software.
