Your Responsibilities Will Include: • Leading the daily production of artisan breads, pastries, cakes, desserts, and other bakery products., • Planning production schedules to ensure products are prepared efficiently and meet daily business demand., • Maintaining excellent mise en place and ensuring consistency across every batch produced., • Preparing products to the highest quality standards by following recipes accurately and supporting standardised production processes. • Checking all products before dispatch to ensure quality, presentation, and consistency., • Monitoring food costs, stock rotation (FIFO), yields, and minimizing waste., • Assisting with stock ordering, inventory management, and maintaining accurate recipe documentation., • Supervising, training, and mentoring junior members of the pastry team., • Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient production kitchen., • Ensuring full compliance with food safety, HACCP, and health & safety regulations., • Liaise with other departments and sites, escalating any issues to senior management when required. Qualifications: To thrive in this role, you'll need: • Previous experience as a Lead Pastry Chef, Senior Pastry Chef, or similar supervisory role., • Strong knowledge of artisan bread, pastry, cake, and dessert production., • Experience leading, training, and developing junior team members., • Excellent organisational and time management skills., • Strong attention to detail with a passion for quality and consistency., • Good understanding of food safety, HACCP, stock control, and cost management., • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment., • A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.
