Asbestos Surveyor \n\n • Annual Salary: To be discussed\n, • Location: Basildon, Essex\n, • Job Type: Full-time, On-site\n\n Our client, an independent, UKAS-accredited asbestos analytical company specializing in asbestos surveys and testing. We are seeking a P402 Asbestos Surveyor to carry out a range of asbestos surveys in various properties. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in asbestos surveying, looking to contribute to a specialist company with a strong reputation in the field. \n Day-to-day of the role: \n\n • Plan and conduct site visits for management, refurbishment, and demolition asbestos surveys in domestic, commercial, and industrial properties.\n, • Collect samples and accurately record findings to prepare clear, compliant survey reports.\n, • Interpret building plans and identify asbestos-containing materials.\n, • Ensure all work adheres to current legislation, guidance, and company procedures.\n, • Liaise with clients on-site, explaining findings as required.\n, • Work closely with the laboratory and compliance teams to deliver timely, high-quality outputs.\n, • Maintain strict health and safety standards throughout all activities.\n\n Required Skills & Qualifications: \n\n • Recognized asbestos surveying qualification (e.g., BOHS P402 or equivalent).\n, • Up-to-date knowledge of asbestos legislation, guidance, and best practice.\n, • Experience conducting management, refurbishment, and demolition asbestos surveys across various property types.\n, • Proficiency in accurate data collection, use of handheld devices or survey software, and production of technical reports.\n, • Strong awareness of health and safety, including safe working practices and risk assessment procedures.\n, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working professionally with clients, colleagues, and contractors.\n, • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines independently.\n, • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites as required.\n, • Experience within a UKAS-accredited environment is an advantage.\n, • Right to work in the UK; a satisfactory background or reference check may be required.\n\n Benefits: \n\n • Competitive salary.\n, • Opportunities for professional development and training.\n, • Supportive team environment.\n, • Comprehensive health and safety training.\n, • Career progression\n\n To apply for the P402 Asbestos Surveyor position, please submit your CV or call Ethan at
