PURPOSE OF THE JOB \n To provide mechanical and electrical support on a hi-tech, automated assembly line on a rotating 2-shift pattern. \n • Week 1 on Early's (6am-2:30pm Mon-Thurs / Fri 6am-12.30pm) \n • Week 2 on Late's (2:30pm-11pm Mon-Thurs / 12.30pm-7pm Fri) \n \n PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/KEY RESULT AREAS \n Key responsibilities will include: \n\n • Repairing faults as the first port of call for machine breakdowns\n, • Providing technical support to achieve production output standards\n, • Plan and execute pro-active preventative maintenance programs to minimise downtime\n, • Work from mechanical, schematics drawings to assist with fault finding\n, • Advise on technical issues, liaising with engineers and the production team as well as supporting continuous improvement activities\n, • Monitor machine performance.\n\n Skills and experience required: \n\n • Qualified to 17th Edition level or equivalent, with a good knowledge of fault finding and repair in electrical and mechanical\n, • Proven previous experience working within a manufacturing environment\n, • Proven experience with PLCs, pneumatic and hydraulic systems as well as robotics\n, • IT literate and able to navigate systems easily\n, • Organised and self-motivated with a safety awareness of electrical, compressed air and pressurised systems\n, • A flexible approach to work and the desire to thrive in a dynamic and exciting fast-moving environment\n, • Good verbal and written communication skills\n, • Self-motivated with the determination to succeed\n, • UK driving license and be available to support visits to supplier sites.\n\n Desirable: \n\n • Previous experience in an automotive environment\n, • Experience of working within IATF16949 quality system environment\n
