Job Description Head of Employment | Leading UK Law Firm /n Outstanding opportunity to build and lead a new Employment practice within a highly regarded, full-service law firm. /n We are exclusively retained by a prestigious and ambitious law firm seeking to appoint a Head of Employment to establish and grow a new Employment team as part of its wider strategic expansion plans. /n This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Employment Associate / Solicitor ready to take the next step into a leadership role and create a practice from the ground up, backed by an established brand, strong client relationships, and significant investment. /n The successful candidate will take responsibility for developing and leading a comprehensive Employment offering, advising a diverse portfolio of businesses, owner-managed companies and corporate clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. /n /n The Opportunity /n You will play a pivotal role in shaping the firm's Employment proposition, including: /n Establishing and leading the Employment team. /n Developing and implementing the department's growth strategy. /n Advising clients on a full range of employment law matters, including tribunal claims, discrimination, whistleblowing, disciplinary and grievance issues, redundancies and business restructures. /n Providing strategic advice on non-contentious matters including contracts, policies and procedures, executive exits, TUPE, restrictive covenants and employment aspects of corporate transactions. /n Supporting colleagues across Corporate, Commercial, Litigation and Private Client teams on employment-related matters. /n Building and nurturing client relationships while identifying opportunities for further growth. /n Recruiting, mentoring and developing team members as the practice expands. /n /n The Candidate /n We are interested in speaking with senior employment lawyers who can demonstrate: /n Extensive experience across both contentious and non-contentious employment law. /n A proven track record of business development and client relationship management. /n Commercial awareness and a strategic approach to practice development. /n The ability to work collaboratively within a successful and growing partnership. /n A following would be welcomed but is not essential for candidates with the right profile, expertise and vision. /n /n The Firm /n Our client is a highly respected law firm with an excellent reputation for client service, technical excellence and a supportive, collegiate culture.
