Revit Technician Permanent Location – Derby (Office-Based) Salary – Negotiable, dependent on experience A fantastic opportunity has arisen for one of our clients based in Derby, delivering high-accuracy topographical, measured building and underground utility surveys alongside advanced 3D Revit and BIM modelling, laser scanning and engineering setting-out services. The business works across construction, infrastructure, rail, energy and heritage sectors on projects ranging from complex heritage buildings to large-scale developments. With a sizeable in-house team, decades of experience and a reputation as a genuine one-stop survey-to-BIM partner, the business is now looking to appoint an experienced Revit Technician to strengthen its growing BIM team. As a Revit Technician, you will work closely with experienced surveyors, BIM coordinators and project managers, producing accurate 3D Revit models and BIM deliverables. Reporting into the BIM/CAD team, CAD/ Revit Technician will be overseeing model production across a variety of project types while supporting less experienced technicians. Candidates with a strong surveying background who are looking to progress from 2D AutoCAD drafting into full 3D Revit/BIM modelling will also be considered for this role. This role would also suit a candidates that has 1 or more years within the industry and wishes to take their next step in their career. Responsibility & Duties • Produce and manage detailed 3D Revit models from survey data, • Support point cloud to BIM model conversion and processing, • Review and quality-check models produced by junior CAD technicians, • Liaise directly with clients on model specification and requirements, • Ensure all Revit deliverables comply with agreed BIM standards, • Manage multiple Revit projects concurrently to meet deadlines Experience & Qualification • Proven experience working in Revit within a survey-related company, • Strong working knowledge of Revit and BIM workflows essential, • Experience producing models from point cloud and survey data, • Familiarity with AutoCAD and other CAD software advantageous, • Experience working from survey data or a survey-related environment essential, • Understanding of BIM standards and protocols advantageous, • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills, • Ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines, • Excellent communication skills, liaising with clients and site teams If you are an experienced Revit / CAD Technician and this role is of interest, please send your most up-to-date CV to the details below and get in touch straight away.
