Estate Services Officer - Field Based \n\n • Contract Type: Temporary (12 weeks)\n, • Start Date: 7th September\n, • Location: Field-based role across housing estates in Welwyn and Hatfield\n, • Hourly Rate: £15.94 - £17.63\n, • Duration: 12 weeks temporary\n, • Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm\n\n My client is actively seeking a dedicated Estate Services Officer to join their team on a temporary basis. This role is crucial for maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and overall management of communal housing estates. The ideal candidates will be proactive, reliable, and have a strong understanding of health and safety in communal environments. \n Day-to-day of the role: \n\n • Conduct routine inspections of communal housing estates, blocks, and surrounding areas.\n, • Identify and report various issues such as health and safety hazards, fire risks, fly-tipping, anti-social behaviour, and repair needs.\n, • Maintain accurate inspection records, including photographic evidence when necessary.\n, • Manage the removal and storage of TORT items following current policies.\n, • Perform daily inspections in areas with high levels of fly-tipping and housing management concerns, ensuring all issues are appropriately addressed and recorded.\n, • Collaborate with Neighbourhood Officers, Housing Assistants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of follow-up actions.\n, • Undertake litter picking, sweeping, and general cleanliness maintenance around communal areas and bin stores.\n, • Coordinate the clearance of larger waste deposits and fly-tipping with the appropriate service teams.\n, • Ensure the estates are well-maintained, presenting a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents.\n, • Respond to estate-related issues as directed by management.\n\n Required Skills & Qualifications: \n\n • Experience in estate services, grounds maintenance, cleaning, or caretaking duties.\n, • Strong knowledge of health and safety responsibilities within communal housing environments.\n, • Ability to identify and report various housing management and environmental issues.\n, • Practical and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.\n, • Reliable and organised with the ability to work independently.\n, • Basic IT skills for completing inspection reports and recording actions.\n\n Special Conditions: \n\n • Must possess a full UK driving licence.\n, • The role requires regular travel between housing estates in Welwyn and Hatfield.\n\n
