Residential Property Solicitor / Conveyancer Location: West Kirby Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE Job Type: Full Time Working Arrangement: Hybrid working available \n The Opportunity A well-established and highly regarded law firm is looking to recruit a Residential Property Solicitor / Residential Conveyancer to join its established residential property team. \n This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or experienced Residential Property Lawyer with 3+ years' PQE to join a supportive and collaborative team where quality of work, client service and professional development are genuinely valued. \n The firm has built a strong reputation for providing a high-quality, client-focused legal service and offers a positive working environment where individuals are supported to develop their careers. \n Salary is up to £45,000 depending on experience, alongside a strong benefits package and hybrid working. \n About You The successful candidate will ideally have at least 3 years' PQE or equivalent experience in residential conveyancing and be confident managing a caseload of residential property transactions from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion. \n You will be an organised, commercially aware and client-focused Residential Property Solicitor or Conveyancer who can work independently while contributing positively to a wider team. \n You should have: \n\n • 3+ years' PQE or equivalent residential conveyancing experience\n, • Strong knowledge of residential property law and conveyancing procedures\n, • Experience managing residential property transactions from instruction to completion\n, • Excellent communication and client care skills\n, • Strong organisational and case management abilities\n, • Excellent attention to detail\n, • The ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities\n, • Experience dealing with lenders, estate agents and other third parties\n, • A proactive and solutions-focused approach\n, • The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure\n, • Commercial awareness and an understanding of the residential property market\n, • An interest in networking and business development\n\n Key Responsibilities As a Residential Property Solicitor / Conveyancer, you will manage a varied caseload of residential property matters, including: \n\n • Taking instructions from clients and providing clear, practical legal advice\n, • Managing residential property transactions from initial instruction through to completion\n, • Dealing with sales, purchases and associated conveyancing matters\n, • Liaising with clients, lenders, mortgage brokers, estate agents and other solicitors\n, • Reviewing contracts, searches, survey reports and mortgage offers\n, • Advising clients on property ownership and associated legal issues\n, • Ensuring compliance with lender requirements\n, • Conducting client due diligence, conflict checks and ongoing risk assessments\n, • Dealing with source of funds and source of wealth requirements\n, • Advising clients on SDLT and other transaction-related liabilities\n, • Drafting and reviewing contracts, transfer documents, SDLT forms and other conveyancing documentation\n, • Managing exchange of contracts and completion deadlines\n, • Maintaining regular communication with clients and keeping them updated throughout transactions\n, • Dealing with post-completion requirements, including Land Registry applications and SDLT submissions\n, • Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring all key dates are diarised\n, • Ensuring compliance with professional, regulatory and internal procedures\n, • Accurately recording time and adhering to billing and performance targets\n, • Contributing to business development, networking and relationship-building activity where appropriate\n\n Salary & Benefits \n\n • Salary up to £45,000 DOE\n, • 20–25 days' annual leave depending on experience\n, • 23 days' holiday for candidates joining with 3+ years' PQE\n, • 25 days' holiday for candidates with 5+ years' PQE\n, • Bank holidays\n, • Additional 3 days' leave between Christmas and New Year\n, • Hybrid working available\n, • Paid sick leave\n, • Dependants' leave\n, • Birthday leave\n, • Two paid volunteering days per year\n, • Health benefits through Medicash after qualifying service\n, • Staff discounts on Wills, LPAs and Residential Conveyancing\n, • Wellbeing initiatives and social events\n, • Bonus and reward schemes\n, • Employee referral programme\n, • Employee recognition scheme\n, • Quarterly client care rewards\n, • Structured performance reviews and career development\n, • Annual salary and bonus review\n\n Working Arrangements The role offers hybrid working, although the successful candidate will ideally be office-based during their initial six-month probationary period to allow them to fully integrate into the team, systems and working practices. \n Why Apply?
