Location: Runcorn \n Salary: £25,877 per annum \n Working Pattern: 4 Days per Week \n About the Role \n We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team in Winsford, supporting young people aged 16-19 years who are currently NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training). \n This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people who may face barriers to learning, employment, or further education. You will play a key role in helping learners build confidence, develop essential life and employability skills, and successfully engage in education and training programmes. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Provide one-to-one and group learning support to learners aged 16-19.\n, • Support learners who may have experienced disengagement from education and help them re-engage positively.\n, • Assist tutors in the delivery of classroom activities and learning programmes.\n, • Encourage participation, attendance, and positive behaviour within the learning environment.\n, • Build positive and professional relationships with learners, acting as a mentor and role model.\n, • Support learners to develop confidence, resilience, communication, and employability skills.\n, • Assist with the implementation of individual learning and support plans.\n, • Monitor learner progress and provide feedback to tutors and management teams.\n, • Support learners with social, emotional, and wellbeing needs where appropriate.\n, • Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding and learner welfare processes.\n, • Promote equality, diversity, inclusion, and a positive learning culture.\n, • Work collaboratively with tutors, support staff, and external agencies to ensure learners receive the support they need.\n\n About You \n The ideal candidate will: \n\n • Have experience supporting young people, preferably aged 16-19.\n, • Be passionate about helping learners overcome barriers and achieve positive outcomes.\n, • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n, • Be patient, empathetic, and resilient.\n, • Have experience in an education, training, mentoring, youth work, or support setting.\n, • Understand safeguarding responsibilities and the needs of vulnerable young people.\n, • Be able to motivate and inspire disengaged learners.\n\n Why Work With Us? \n\n • Exclusive access to roles in leading FE colleges and training providers\n, • 1-2-1 support from a Specialist SEN Consultant (CV tips & interview prep!)\n, • Health Cash Plan & REED Discount Club\n, • Statutory Sick Pay, Maternity/Paternity/Adoption Pay\n, • Access to REED Learning & Development programmes\n, • Eye test and spectacle vouchers\n\n If this role sounds of interest, Apply Today!
