To act as the Project Engineer for work scopes and activities in support of the Operational Business Delivery Teams, associated with the implementation of maintenance, engineering and project support to ensure that all Client and Company’s operational, commercial and HSEQ expectations and targets are met.The Project Engineer is directly responsible to their assigned Project Manager.Main ResponsibilitiesCommercial Monitor the contract budgets and costsManage and monitor the selection and requisition of all plant, equipment and materials on the contractOptimise deployment and performance of human resources to achieve or exceed performance targetsCommunicate progress and any operational difficulties and commercial implications to the customer/Line managerCUSTOMER Plan operations in conjunction with client representativesCommunicate progress of operations through liaison with clients on a regular basisEnsure that all client expectations are deliveredFollow up customer enquiries and demands promptlyIdentify and react to shortfalls in customer serviceCultivate and develop good customer relationsLOGISTICS Plan, and monitor the requisition and expedition of all resource requirements including material, equipment and personnel (including subcontractor services)Liaise with the HR Team and platform team regarding resource requirements and mobilisation of personnel.Ensure co-ordination of shipments to worksite through logistics departmentOPS & TECHNICAL Good working knowledge of core disciplines i.e. Scaffolding, painting, insulation, Passive Fire ProtectionAppreciation of specialist disciplines i.e. LSA, Cleaning, Architectural, abseiling etcOversee the planning and implementation of the contract and specific workscopes/ activitiesCommunicate team goals and promote high standards of workmanship and customer serviceManage all activities including those of sub-contractorsMonitor all activities to ensure compliance with relevant HSEQ Procedures, cost and schedule controlProvide technical support to offshore and onshore teams across all disciplinesAttend project kick-off meetingsLiaise with engineers to gain knowledge of future projectsRaise all work orders / job cards for offshore activitiesEnsure that CTRs, project estimates, workscopes, & workpacks are completed in a timely mannerEnsure that the mobilisation of personnel, plant, equipment and materials are input into client’s planning system.Work with estimating department to optimize tender values and specifications.Initiate contract files for all customer and project informationSet up and maintain Anomaly DatabaseManage growth and variationsSet up and maintain key communications with offshore teamsSAFETY Understand the company safety policy requirements, ensuring at all times the works are undertaken and maintained to the highest safety standardsEnsure that all operations are reviewed and planned to ensure compliance with company and legislative requirementsPromote safe working practices and safety awareness through implementation of the HSEQ Plan, safety campaigns, safety meetings and briefingsEnsure that all equipment and working practices are monitored to ensure complianceEnsure that company procedures are implemented if safety procedures are breachedEnsure that all hazards are identified and assessed to mitigate risk exposure.PERSONNEL Liaise with the HR Team to assist in the recruitment, induction and deployment of personnelUndertake assessments of team members using appropriate standards of competenceManage all aspects of Industrial Relations and discipline within the team.HSEQ RESPONSIBILITIES:It is mandatory that the incumbent is familiar with and follows the Company's Policy for Health, Safety, Environment and Quality and takes an active part in the compliance and improvement of the Management Systems to maintain our system certification. The incumbent must report any accidents, incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems to the HSEQ Department Manager.The incumbent also has legal responsibilities under country-specific health and safety legislation to follow all Company policies, procedures, guidelines, control measures, signage and permit conditions and to know what to do in an emergency. The incumbent is also responsible for the health and safety arrangements of subordinates (if any) and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises.GENERALThe above responsibilities are neither exclusive nor exhaustive and the incumbent may be called upon to carry out such other appropriate alternative or additional duties as may be required which are within their capability and competence.Experience & QualificationsTechnical Experience preferred.
