CDM Recruitment are working with a leading global engineering organisation to recruit a Manufacturing Project Engineer for their Newcastle facility. This is a varied role focused on engineering improvement projects across manufacturing operations, particularly around the final preparation and packing of large engineered products. The Role • Lead and support manufacturing improvement projects., • Map processes and identify opportunities for standardisation, simplification and efficiency improvements., • Apply Lean / Continuous Improvement methodologies., • Produce and update AutoCAD layouts and technical documentation., • Develop SOPs, work standards, design rules and process documentation., • Coordinate internal stakeholders and external contractors., • Support manufacturing readiness, risk reviews and engineering change., • Use structured problem solving to resolve manufacturing issues., • Support improvements to how large products and materials move through the facility. About You We're interested in engineers with: • Experience within manufacturing or engineering., • Project engineering and/or continuous improvement experience., • Process mapping and Lean/CI knowledge., • AutoCAD experience., • Strong stakeholder and project coordination skills., • Experience delivering against challenging project schedules. Experience within heavy engineering, offshore, subsea, marine or large-scale manufacturing would be beneficial, as would an awareness of heavy lifting/material handling, but direct logistics or subsea experience is not essential.
