This role is perfect for a Senior Occupational Therapist seeking a fulfilling position or an experienced Occupational Therapist ready to take the next step in their career. \n Located in beautiful Gosport, Hampshire, Priory Hospital Nelson House is a rehabilitation service that supports males with complex mental health conditions, including those with challenging behaviors and substance misuse issues. Your Role and Responsibilities\n As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will: \n\n • Empower patients to achieve greater independence and enhance their quality of life through person-centered, evidence-based care.\n, • Manage a diverse caseload of patients with complex mental health, neurological, and physical needs.\n, • Deliver specialist assessments and create tailored treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.\n, • Lead and develop a small therapy team, providing clinical supervision and support to an Occupational Therapy Assistant and an Activities Coordinator.\n, • Oversee equipment and discharge assessments, contribute to service improvements, and maintain the highest standards of clinical practice.\n, • Work closely with carers and, alongside the Medical Director, manage the carers group.\nWhat You Bring to the Table\n We are looking for a knowledgeable, energetic, and personable Occupational Therapist who puts patients at the heart of everything they do. To thrive in this role, you should have: \n\n • HCPC registration and a Diploma in Occupational Therapy, or a degree, honors degree, or Master’s in Occupational Therapy.\n, • Prior experience in mental health services as a qualified member of staff.\n, • Experience supervising Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, and students.\n, • Training in relevant models of practice such as MoHO, VdTMoCA, and Sensory Integration.\nWhat We Offer You\n At Priory, we want you to succeed and thrive in your role.
