This is a hands-on banking technology delivery role, responsible for taking the implementation from design and build through integration, testing, security assurance, customer migration, staged rollout, full release and transition into BAU. Think Specialist Recruitment are delighted to be working with a fantastic company based in the Watford area, this well established company have an exciting opportunity for a IT Service Delivery Manager to join their team. This opportunity will be responsible for the relationship between IT and the wider business, managing vendor relationships and leading a team of 3-4. The position will report directly into the Head of IT and Projects, working alongside the Data Manager and PMO Manager. The suitable candidate will be a strong people manager, with strong communication skills and at levels, with previous experience of IT Service Delivery. Salary - £55,000 - £65,000 plus great benefits This will be a hybrid working position - 3 days in the Watford office and 2 from home Some of the duties will include: Lead and develop a team of 3-4, providing day-to-day direction, workload management, performance support and career development Work with the Technical Governance Forum to promote best practice across development, coding standards, testing, documentation and technical delivery Act as the main operational point of contact between IT and the wider business, managing escalations, resolving queries and building strong stakeholder relationships Communicate IT activity, incidents, changes and planned downtime clearly and proactively across the business Manage relationships with IT vendors and third-party suppliers, ensuring SLAs, contracts and service performance are effectively managed Own business-facing incident and problem management, coordinating major incidents, root cause analysis and corrective actions with internal teams and suppliers Oversee application and service management, including ownership, monitoring, release management, change control, documentation and disaster recovery Maintain a working understanding of technologies including .NET, SQL and Microsoft Power Platform, working with the Technical Governance Forum on technical and architectural decisions Ensure IT governance, security, compliance and audit requirements are met across operational services and applications Identify and deliver continuous improvements to IT processes, technology and service delivery Contribute to IT budgeting and ensure spend is appropriately managed and justified The suitable candidate: At least 3 years experience within a similar IT service delivery role Proven experience within managing and developing teams Previous experience within vendor and contract management Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external parties Exposure to .NET, SQL and Microsoft Power Platform Owning incident and problem management processes Must be happy to be office based 3 days a week within a commutable distance to Watford Looking for the next step in your career?
