Want a founding seat in the group finance team of an acquisitive, multi-site group? Read on. Direct exposure to the people who own and run the business. Real exposure to acquisitions. You'll fulfil the Financial Controller role while acting as a commercial sounding board to senior leadership, with a clear path to develop into an FD. A growing, privately owned group is looking to appoint a commercially minded Financial Controller to oversee financial reporting, controls and performance across the group and its subsidiaries. Reporting to senior leadership, this is a broad and varied role offering real influence across the wider business. You'll ensure high-quality financial reporting while providing meaningful commercial insight to support decision making, with genuine exposure to funding activity, acquisitions and the group's growth plans.Key Responsibilities\n\n • Produce accurate, timely monthly management accounts across the group.\n, • Prepare consolidated management reporting and financial analysis for senior leadership.\n, • Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning.\n, • Partner with finance teams across subsidiaries to keep reporting standards and month-end deadlines consistent.\n, • Provide commercial analysis and performance reporting that shapes operational and strategic decisions.\n, • Monitor financial controls, flag risks and drive process improvements.\n, • Prepare board reporting, financial commentary and KPI analysis.\n, • Support the year-end audit and statutory reporting.\n, • Work alongside senior stakeholders on business improvement projects, systems upgrades and process efficiencies.\n, • Get involved in the financial side of acquisitions and growth initiatives as the group expands.\nAbout You\n\n, • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.\n, • Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager experience in a multi-entity or group environment.\n, • Excellent financial reporting rigour.\n, • Commercially sharp, able to interpret the numbers and use them to influence decisions.\n, • Strong Excel skills; comfortable in ERP or accounting systems.\n, • Ability to raise standards across subsidiary finance teams and drive consistently high-quality financial reporting.\n, • Full UK driving licence and willing to travel between sites.\nSalary & Benefits\n\n, • £70,000 - £80,000.\n, • Excellent benefits package including bonus and car allowance.\n, • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays.\nIPS Finance has 45 years' experience in the Yorkshire accountancy recruitment market, built on long-term relationships with individuals and clients across all sectors.
