TL;DR \n \n Do you love video games? Are you extraordinarily blessed in the creative department? Well, this video gaming specialist creative agency seeks a creative unicorn to join us and poop out some glittery rainbows. \n \n What’s the job? \n \n OK, we know we’re asking for a lot, but if you can tick a good chunk of these boxes then it might be worth us having a chat… \n \n We’re looking for an experienced multi-disciplinary creative. A generalist. A jack-of-all-trades who’s also pretty darned good at many of them. \n \n Some of the most important skills that we’re looking for are the abilities to dream up amazing video and motion graphics concepts, create impactful graphic and web design work, social-first concepts and campaigns, generally come up with compelling creative ideas and to be a self-starting bar-raiser. \n \n We’re looking for somebody who can take ownership of creative projects and pitch their ideas, all with a little bit of razzle dazzle, while staying in control and communicating well with clients and colleagues through all stages of the creative process, and being responsible for the quality of their creative output. The more hands-on you are, the better, but you’ll have a team of experts around you to support your creative fancy. \n \n Back to the unicorn thing; if you have any of the following skills then they could be put to good use: creative ideation, videography, video editing, graphic and web design, motion graphics, production and project management, social media content creation, copywriting, and a resplendent, solitary horn protruding proudly from your forehead. \n \n Sounds interesting. How do I join the blessing? \n \n We want somebody who’s into video games, gaming culture and who enjoys creating impactful and memorable stuff. We want a self-starter who can take the initiative. \n \n And obviously if you’re going to work with us as a Creative Director then we need to know that you know your stuff and that you’re good at it, so we’ll want to see a solid portfolio that shows your considerable experience and what you’re capable of in the creative realm. \n We’re not asking for X years of relevant workplace experience, we’re looking for talent and drive and a great attitude, but for a Creative Director-level role we’ll be looking for somebody who’s been around a bit. This most certainly will not be your first rodeo. \n \n On the skills front, it’s going to look something like this: \n \n Required: \n \n\n • Creative ideation excellence\n, • Strong design skills\n, • Great communication and presentation skills, both client-facing and among your colleagues \n, • An interest in and knowledge of producing video content\n, • A love for gaming\n, • Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop and Illustrator) fluency\n, • Attention to deetail\n\n \n Desired: \n \n\n • Ability to direct and produce video content (particularly social-first content and video game trailers) \n, • Team leadership experience\n, • Motion graphics experience\n, • Social media nous\n\n \n What else should I know? \n \n Location: On-site at our Leeds city centre office, Hybrid or Remote, it’s completely up to you. \n Hours: 40 hours per week \n Job Type: Permanent \n \n Background: \n \n Other Things is a fresh new Leeds and remote-based video gaming specialist creative agency, established in 2019. \n \n We produce a lot of game trailers, website and app builds, video content, design and brand work and all sorts of other creative bits in-between, for some of the world’s biggest brands. \n \n Our mission is to work with the biggest and most prestigious names in the industry to produce high quality creative work.
