Business Development Manager – Digital Health Permanent | Full-Time | North West / Remote-First Salary: £35,000–£45,000 + £10,000–£15,000 OTE Total Package: £45,000–£60,000 The Opportunity Lotus Recruitment is working with a growing digital health consultancy that helps innovative health-tech businesses access, sell into and scale across the NHS. Working with early-stage and scaling businesses, our client provides practical commercial support to organisations with strong products that need experienced help navigating NHS structures, procurement and adoption. Their approach is hands-on and commercially focused, acting as an extension of their clients' commercial teams to help turn opportunities into meaningful traction. As the business continues to grow, they are looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to generate and progress commercial opportunities both for the consultancy and the health-tech businesses it supports. The Role This is a consultative B2B business development position requiring someone who can confidently engage senior stakeholders, understand complex customer needs, build strong commercial relationships and progress opportunities through a structured sales pipeline. You'll work closely with the Founder and wider team, as well as health-tech businesses and NHS stakeholders, helping to shape outreach strategies, identify target accounts and turn conversations into genuine commercial opportunities. The role is remote-first and offers significant flexibility. However, our client has a collaborative, hands-on working style, so we are particularly interested in candidates based in the North West who are comfortable with face-to-face collaboration when required. There will also be occasional travel across the UK and potentially Europe. Key Responsibilities Drive outbound business development, identifying and engaging NHS decision-makers across Trusts, ICBs, PCNs and related healthcare organisations. Generate, qualify and progress commercial opportunities, building strong relationships with prospective customers and stakeholders. Build, manage and maintain an accurate sales pipeline using CRM systems and track performance against commercial KPIs. Represent the business and its clients professionally on calls, meetings, demonstrations and at industry events. Support go-to-market activity including messaging, market positioning, target-account planning and communicating client propositions effectively. Provide market insight and intelligence from commercial conversations and work closely with the Founder and wider team to continuously improve commercial approaches. About You We're looking for someone with a strong grounding in consultative B2B sales or business development who is comfortable taking ownership of commercial opportunities rather than simply generating leads for somebody else to progress. You'll be commercially confident, credible with senior stakeholders and comfortable balancing independent working with regular collaboration. Essential Experience Proven B2B business development or commercially focused sales experience, including demonstrable new-business generation. Experience owning and progressing commercial opportunities from initial prospecting through a structured sales pipeline. Confident engaging senior decision-makers with strong consultative selling, communication and relationship-building skills. Experience managing CRM systems, sales pipelines, targets and performance metrics. Strong organisation and self-management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote-first environment. Willing and able to attend face-to-face meetings and travel when required. Desirable Experience Digital health, health-tech, SaaS, technology or NHS-facing commercial experience. Understanding of NHS structures, procurement, adoption or innovation pathways. Experience using HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce or similar CRM platforms. Experience working commercially with founders, start-ups or scaling businesses. Previous NHS or health-tech experience is advantageous rather than essential. Strong consultative B2B sales fundamentals, commercial credibility and the ability to quickly understand a complex market are equally important. What's On Offer £35,000–£45,000 base salary plus £10,000–£15,000 OTE. 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays. Flexible, remote-first working with face-to-face collaboration and occasional UK/European travel. Exposure to innovative digital health products and senior NHS stakeholders. Clear progression opportunities within a growing, collaborative and purpose-driven business. Right to Work in the UK Candidates must have the right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
