CNC Manufacturing Engineer / Supervisor \n Rotherham \n Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm \n About the Role \n An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Manufacturing Engineer / Supervisor to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Rotherham. \n This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day machining operations, developing manufacturing processes, improving efficiencies, and leading a team of CNC and manual machinists. Working closely with senior production leadership, you will play a key role in ensuring production targets are achieved while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the department. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Support the delivery of production schedules and operational targets.\n, • Lead, coach and support a team of CNC and manual machinists.\n, • Ensure operators have the tools, equipment and information required to complete work efficiently.\n, • Develop, review and improve manufacturing methods and machining processes.\n, • Design and implement work-holding solutions.\n, • Review CAD models and extract manufacturing information.\n, • Create, edit, verify and simulate CNC programs.\n, • Provide technical support and process prove-out assistance on the shop floor.\n, • Produce and maintain technical documentation including SOPs, tooling sheets and inspection reports.\n, • Support continuous improvement activities and lean manufacturing initiatives.\n, • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to resolve technical challenges.\n, • Promote high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping throughout the department.\n\n About You \n To be successful in this role, you will have a strong machining background combined with supervisory or team leadership experience within a manufacturing environment. \n Essential Skills & Experience \n\n • CNC machining experience, including milling and turning.\n, • Experience programming CNC machines.\n, • Fanuc and/or XYZ control experience.\n, • Strong CAD/CAM knowledge.\n, • Previous team leader, supervisor or cell leader experience.\n, • Good understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.\n, • Knowledge of inspection methods and measurement techniques.\n, • Excellent communication and organisational skills.\n, • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.\n, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\n, • Lean Manufacturing experience.\n, • Experience implementing 6S or workplace organisation initiatives.\n, • Time-served apprenticeship within a toolroom or machining environment.\n, • Leadership or management qualifications such as ILM.\n\n We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who: \n\n • Leads by example.\n, • Is passionate about health and safety.\n, • Enjoys mentoring and developing others.\n, • Takes ownership and drives results.\n, • Thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\n, • Can identify and implement process improvements.\n, • Works well under pressure and to deadlines.\n, • Demonstrates a positive, flexible and proactive attitude.\n\n What's on Offer? \n\n • Permanent, full-time position.\n, • Day shifts only, Monday to Friday.\n, • Opportunity to join a stable and growing manufacturer.\n, • Varied role combining technical expertise and leadership.\n, • Ongoing training and development opportunities.\n, • Competitive salary dependent on experience.\n
