Do you have experience in engineering maintenance within a fast-paced food manufacturing or FMCG environment? Are you confident analysing equipment performance and downtime to drive reliability and continuous improvement? Do you have the technical skills to take ownership of assets and improve equipment availability? MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading food manufacturing business to recruit a Reliability Engineer to join their Engineering team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineering professional to take ownership of equipment reliability within a busy manufacturing environment, using data and engineering insight to improve asset performance and reduce downtime. Working closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Planning and external contractors, you will be responsible for managing asset performance, supporting maintenance strategies and driving reliability improvements across your area. Key Responsibilities: • Take ownership of equipment and asset reliability within an allocated area., • Monitor and analyse equipment downtime and performance data., • Identify trends and opportunities to improve reliability and reduce downtime., • Support and maintain effective planned maintenance regimes., • Raise and review planned and reactive maintenance activities., • Produce and present downtime data for engineering and operational reviews., • Work closely with on-shift Engineers to resolve complex equipment issues., • Support capital projects, equipment installations and continuous improvement initiatives., • Develop maintenance plans that improve asset availability and performance., • Coordinate OEM and contractor visits alongside Production and Planning teams., • Build strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers and contractors. What We’re Looking For: Level 3 Engineering qualification or above. Experience within an engineering maintenance environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyse equipment performance and identify improvement opportunities. Good understanding of engineering and operational KPIs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team. Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities. Desirable: HNC, HND or Degree in Engineering. Experience using a CMMS system. CAD experience. Project management experience. Contractor management experience. Previous experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar high-volume production environment. What’s on Offer? From £36,000 DOE Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30.
