\n Electro-Mechanical Coil Winder \n Location: Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey \n \n About the Role We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Electro-Mechanical Coil Winder to join our manufacturing team in Sunbury-on-Thames. \n \n You will be responsible for building, assembling, testing, inspecting and repairing electro-mechanical products and assemblies in accordance with technical drawings, manufacturing instructions and quality standards. \n This is a practical manufacturing role suited to someone with strong mechanical and electrical assembly skills, excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to working. \n \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Build and assemble electro-mechanical components and assemblies from technical drawings and manufacturing instructions.\n, • Carry out assembly work on fans, motors, heaters and other electro-mechanical products.\n, • Inspect and test completed assemblies to ensure they meet required quality and performance standards.\n, • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs or upgrades to electro-mechanical assemblies.\n, • Use a range of hand tools and precision measuring equipment, including torque drivers, micrometers and verniers.\n, • Carry out mechanical operations including drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking, filing, lapping, buffing and lubrication.\n, • Connect cables and wiring in accordance with technical specifications.\n, • Complete functional testing and inspections, identifying and resolving issues where required.\n, • Maintain accurate manufacturing and quality documentation.\n, • Follow all manufacturing, quality and health & safety procedures.\n, • Maintain and care for equipment used within the assembly area.\n, • Participate in Continuous Improvement and 5S activities to improve product quality, efficiency and workplace standards.\n, • Work effectively with colleagues across the manufacturing operation to achieve production targets.\n, • Provide professional and helpful support to customers, suppliers and visitors when required.\n, • Support the wider manufacturing team with additional duties, including training colleagues and assisting other departments when required.\n, • Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately and within agreed production timescales.\n\n About You The successful candidate will ideally have: \n\n • Previous experience in electro-mechanical assembly, manufacturing or engineering.\n, • Experience working from technical drawings, manufacturing instructions or similar documentation.\n, • Good practical mechanical and electrical assembly skills.\n, • Experience using hand tools and precision measuring equipment.\n, • The ability to identify faults and troubleshoot electro-mechanical assemblies.\n, • Good attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.\n, • A methodical and organised approach to work.\n, • The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider manufacturing team.\n, • Good communication skills and the confidence to communicate with colleagues, customers and visitors.\n, • A flexible approach and willingness to support different areas of the manufacturing operation.\n, • An understanding of 5S, Continuous Improvement or Lean manufacturing would be advantageous.\n\n What You'll Be Doing This is a hands-on manufacturing position where quality, accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
