Interim Group Finance Manager | Luxury Consumer Brand \n Harmonic are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a globally recognised luxury consumer brand in their search for an Interim Group Finance Manager on a 6-month contract. \n Renowned for its creativity and quality, the organisation has built a loyal following worldwide and continues to scale rapidly across multiple regions. Operating across wholesale and e-commerce channels, the business is on an impressive growth trajectory and is now building out and professionalising its Group Finance function. \n With new entities being established across Europe and other international markets, alongside a busy year-end and audit cycle, this opportunity will suit someone who is technically strong but also genuinely hands-on. You'll need to be comfortable getting into the detail, working extensively in Excel and building reporting, reconciliations and consolidation schedules from scratch rather than inheriting established processes. \n The Role \n Working alongside the wider Group Finance team, you will take ownership of several business-critical workstreams spanning European entity accounting, group consolidations, financial control, reporting and process improvement. \n A key focus will be acting as the finance owner for newly established European entities, coordinating outsourced providers and internal stakeholders and ensuring their results are accurately incorporated into the wider Group consolidation. \n This is a genuinely hands-on, project-focused engagement. You will be expected to get into the underlying numbers, interrogate data and build Excel-based reports, reconciliations, consolidation schedules and controls from the ground up. \n Alongside the international entity workstream, you will strengthen the month-end and Group consolidation process, build out Group balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules, and support both the completion of the FY2025 audit and onboarding of new external auditors for FY2026. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Take ownership of a number of recently established European and international entities, acting as the central finance contact while bookkeeping, payroll and local tax compliance are handled by external providers.\n, • Own and support the European consolidation process, ensuring entity-level reporting is accurate, complete and appropriately reflected within the Group numbers.\n, • Work extensively in Excel, manipulating and analysing financial data and building reporting packs, reconciliations and supporting schedules from scratch.\n, • Develop new Group reporting and consolidation schedules where existing reporting is limited, creating clear and repeatable processes that can be used across the finance function.\n, • Keep activity and information joined up between third-party providers and internal finance, tax and payroll teams.\n, • Build the underlying controls, workflows and reporting for international entities and document them clearly so ownership can eventually be handed to permanent or local finance teams.\n, • Bring greater rigour and consistency to the Group's month-end timetable and consolidation process.\n, • Create a full suite of Group balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules, providing leadership with a clear and reliable view of the consolidated numbers.\n, • Introduce standardised review routines and reporting templates across entity teams to improve consistency and visibility across the Group.\n, • Drive the FY2025 statutory accounts and Group audit through to completion.\n, • Prepare for a new audit partner in FY2026, supporting a clean transition and smoother year-end process.\n, • Pick up additional Group-wide finance projects as required, providing experienced and hands-on capacity while the business continues to scale.\n\n \n What We Need to See (Essential) \n\n • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).\n, • Strong background across Group reporting, financial control and international consolidations.\n, • Hands-on experience consolidating European entities within an international, multi-entity Group structure.\n, • Advanced Excel capability and the confidence to work with large data sets, interrogate underlying numbers and build financial reports and schedules from scratch.\n, • Experience working in an environment where reporting and finance processes are not already fully established - you must be comfortable creating the solution rather than simply operating an existing process.\n, • Strong balance sheet and financial control experience, with the ability to build robust reconciliations and supporting schedules.\n, • Highly organised, with the project-management discipline to run several workstreams to deadline simultaneously.\n, • A confident communicator used to coordinating finance, tax, payroll, external advisers and auditors across multiple jurisdictions.\n, • Comfortable working independently and rolling your sleeves up - this is not a high-level review role and will require significant hands-on work within the numbers.\n\n \n What We'd Like to See (Bonus) \n\n • Previous experience within audit.\n, • Exposure to luxury consumer, retail, product or stock/inventory-led businesses.\n, • Experience working with a rapidly expanding European entity structure.\n, • Experience helping coordinate a change of external auditor or audit transition.\n\n \n Day Rate: £450-£525 per day \n Contract: 6-month interim contract \n Location: London / Hybrid (3 days in the office) \n Start Date: ASAP \n \n \n At Harmonic, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace. We actively welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds and assure you that every candidate will be thoughtfully considered for the roles we represent, without regard to race, religion, gender expression, disability, or sexual orientation.
