Morson Edge are working with a leading global multidisciplinary consultancy to recruit a Senior / Principal Architectural Technologist to support the delivery of major hyperscale data centre projects across an international portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established technical team delivering some of the world's largest and most technically complex mission-critical facilities. Working on global hyperscale programmes, you'll play a key role in the technical delivery of projects from detailed design through to construction. The role is open to candidates across the UK, with hybrid working requiring just one day per week in the office (Wednesdays). Manchester is the preferred location, although other UK offices will also be considered. The Opportunity We're looking to speak with experienced Architectural Technologists who have a strong technical background and enjoy leading project packages, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and producing high-quality construction information. Working predominantly across RIBA Stages 4 & 5, you'll take ownership of technical delivery, review drawing packages, coordinate Revit models and ensure the successful delivery of technically demanding projects. Previous data centre experience would be advantageous, however candidates from sectors such as commercial, industrial, healthcare, aviation, defence, laboratories or other complex building types with exceptional technical detailing experience are equally encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities • Lead the technical delivery of complex projects through RIBA Stages 4 & 5, • Produce, review and coordinate detailed construction information and drawing packages, • Lead project packages independently and manage technical design delivery, • Coordinate multidisciplinary Revit models and project information, • Review drawings to ensure technical accuracy, quality and compliance, • Coordinate construction detailing, including fire stopping, fire penetrations and key building interfaces, • Work closely with architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers and specialist consultants, • Support tender, construction and technical coordination activities, • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members, • Ensure projects are delivered in line with programme, quality and client requirements Essential Skills & Experience, • Architectural Technologist with approximately 5-10 years' professional experience, • Experience operating at Senior or Principal level within an architectural or multidisciplinary consultancy, • Strong technical detailing and construction knowledge, • Experience delivering projects through RIBA Stages 4 & 5, • Advanced proficiency in Revit, • Good understanding of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), linked models and model coordination, • Experience reviewing and checking technical drawing packages, • Ability to lead projects independently and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Desirable Experience, • Data centre or other mission-critical project experience, • Experience delivering large-scale, technically complex buildings, • Knowledge of fire stopping, fire penetration detailing and construction compliance, • Experience working on international or global projects What's on Offer, • 12-month contract (Inside IR35), • £35 - £50 per hour, depending on experience, • Flexible UK location with just one office day per week, • Opportunity to work on globally recognised hyperscale data centre programmes, • Long-term project pipeline with strong extension potential, • Collaborative multidisciplinary environment with industry-leading technical teams If you're an experienced Senior or Principal Architectural Technologist looking to work on technically challenging global projects, we'd be keen to hear from you.
