Our cleint a major transportation firm, is hiring a Custom House Brokerage Delivery Associate for their Valley Stream, NY location. \n \n Pay Rate Range: Paying 20-22/hr W2 \n \n Responsibilities: \n \n Position Details \n\n • Location: Valley Stream, NY\n, • Work Schedule: Fully onsite, 5 days per week\n, • Transportation: Candidates must have their own reliable transportation (screen is open to entry-level candidates who demonstrate strong potential. \n Role Overview \n The CHB Delivery Associate is responsible for coordinating and executing shipments while ensuring customer service levels and operational requirements are met daily. \n This role supports assigned client accounts by managing shipments from start to finish, becoming familiar with client import programs and products, and coordinating file processing with internal teams and external partners. \n A major focus of this role will be: \n\n • Downloading and reviewing documents\n, • Uploading documents\n, • Entering shipment information into systems/spreadsheets\n, • Ensuring accuracy and compliance\n\n Attention to detail is critical, as errors in documentation or data entry can create compliance issues and put the client at risk. \n Key Responsibilities \n Customs House Brokerage Operations \n\n • Manage CHB operations services for assigned customers\n, • Provide customer service and respond to client questions and requests\n, • Process Customs entries and OGA (Other Government Agency) clearances\n, • Open entry files and process entries according to established KPIs\n, • Coordinate shipment releases with:\n, • Freight forwarders\n, • Steamship lines\n, • Airlines\n, • Other transportation partners\n, • Track and trace inbound shipments\n, • Coordinate delivery of shipments from:\n, • Airlines\n, • Ocean piers\n, • Container Freight Stations (CFS)\n, • Customer destinations\n\n Documentation & Data Management \n\n • Download, review, and upload shipment documentation\n, • Enter and maintain accurate shipment data\n, • Review entry documentation to ensure compliance with government regulations\n, • Maintain customer SOPs and update documentation as needed\n, • Complete required reports and billing documentation\n, • Ensure timely and accurate file processing\n\n Compliance Responsibilities \n Ensure compliance with government agencies including: \n\n • U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)\n, • FDA\n, • Department of Agriculture\n, • EPA\n, • FCC\n, • Other regulatory agencies\n\n Responsibilities include: \n\n • Reviewing documentation accuracy\n, • Supporting PGA processing/coordination\n, • Coordinating exams when required\n, • Completing compliance audits as needed\n\n Systems & Technology \n Preferred experience: \n\n • Customs brokerage systems\n, • CW1 (CargoWise One)\n, • CMUS\n, • Microsoft Excel\n\n Required Experience & Skills \n\n • 6–12 months of industry experience preferred\n, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills\n, • Maintain accurate SOP and process documentation\n, • Prevent compliance errors, penalties, and demurrage charges\n, • Complete required audits with strong accuracy results\n, • Avoid errors resulting from broker mistakes\n\n Work Hours \n\n • Standard schedule: 40 hours per week\n, • Standard business hours\n, • Overtime may occasionally be required:\n, • Weekdays beyond standard hours\n, •
