Job Description Installation and Dismantle (I&D) Lead Lead the Crew That Brings Every Exhibit to Life Do you enjoy leading by example and making sure every installation is done right? Trade shows don't wait. Every installation has a deadline, every detail matters, and every exhibit must be installed safely, accurately, and ready when the show opens. We're looking for an experienced I&D Lead who enjoys leading crews, working alongside the team, solving problems on the job site, and ensuring every exhibit is installed, dismantled, packed, and returned with quality and care. At Exponents, you'll lead installation and dismantling activities while partnering with Project Management, Production, Warehouse, Logistics, and Operations teams to deliver successful projects from prebuild through final return. What You'll Do You'll lead installation, dismantling, prebuild, packing, and staging activities while working alongside your crew to ensure every project is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. In this role, you'll: • Lead daily installation and dismantling activities at trade show venues, customer locations, and company facilities., • Provide hands-on leadership while working alongside assigned employees and labor crews., • Assign work, coordinate labor resources, and communicate daily priorities to the team., • Review setup drawings, floor plans, packing diagrams, work orders, and project documentation before work begins., • Monitor labor hours, installation progress, and project schedules while communicating potential issues early., • Coordinate with Project Managers, Production, Warehouse, Logistics, and show-site personnel throughout each project., • Conduct quality inspections throughout installation, dismantling, packing, and outbound preparation., • Complete final walkthroughs, punch-list items, and project closeout activities before project completion., • Document installation progress, damages, changes, and completed work using approved systems and photographs., • Train and coach team members on installation techniques, exhibit quality standards, equipment use, and safe work practices., • Promote a safe, organized work environment while following OSHA requirements, venue regulations, and company safety standards. What Success Looks Like You'll be successful when you: • Deliver installations and dismantles safely, accurately, and on schedule., • Lead crews that work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards., • Identify issues early and resolve them before they impact project success., • Maintain accurate packing, labeling, and outbound shipping for every project., • Build strong partnerships with Project Managers, warehouse teams, contractors, and show-site personnel., • Help create a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and craftsmanship. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications • 5+ years of hands-on installation and dismantling experience in the trade show, exhibit, event, or related industry., • Experience providing daily work direction to employees, temporary workers, contractors, or labor crews., • Strong knowledge of custom, rental, and modular exhibit systems and installation practices., • Ability to read and interpret setup drawings, floor plans, elevations, packing diagrams, and project documentation., • Working knowledge of show-site operations, freight, material handling, and venue requirements. Preferred Qualifications • Experience leading installation of large, custom, or multi-level trade show exhibits., • Experience coordinating union and non-union labor crews., • Experience working with general service contractors, exhibit-appointed contractors, freight providers, electricians, riggers, and audiovisual partners., • Experience performing exhibit prebuilds, repairs, quality inspections, and outbound readiness reviews.
