Job DescriptionJob Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in delivering high-quality maintenance, repair, and light construction support across a variety of facilities and client sites. This position requires a versatile, hands-on professional who can troubleshoot building systems, perform preventative maintenance, and complete renovation and installation projects. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works safely and professionally, and consistently provides a positive customer service experience. Responsibilities • Perform general maintenance and repair tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, drywall, and other facility-related activities., • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to keep facilities, equipment, and building systems in optimal working condition., • Identify maintenance concerns promptly and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime and maintain safety., • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to building systems and facility infrastructure, ensuring reliable operation., • Complete light construction and renovation projects, including installation of fixtures, cabinetry, flooring, doors, and other building components., • Assist with facility improvements, remodels, and repair projects from initial assessment through completion., • Read and interpret project specifications, drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate and timely completion of assigned tasks., • Maintain compliance with applicable building codes, safety standards, and company procedures during all maintenance and construction activities., • Communicate effectively with clients, property managers, vendors, and team members regarding project status, maintenance needs, and timelines., • Provide clear recommendations for repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility improvements based on inspections and findings., • Deliver a professional, courteous, and positive customer experience throughout all phases of work., • Work independently across multiple job sites, managing priorities and organizing tasks to meet deadlines. Essential Skills • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, service technician, handyman, or skilled trades professional in commercial, industrial, municipal, or facility environments., • Strong working knowledge of plumbing systems, including basic repairs, installations, and troubleshooting., • Working knowledge of electrical systems and components, with the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance safely., • Proficiency in carpentry, including framing, installation, and repair of doors, cabinetry, and other structural elements., • Experience with drywall installation, repair, and finishing., • Skill in interior and exterior painting, including surface preparation and application., • General building maintenance skills across multiple trades and facility systems., • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities for maintenance and building system issues., • Excellent verbal communication skills to interact with clients, property managers, vendors, and team members., • Demonstrated customer service skills with a focus on professionalism and responsiveness., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities and tasks., • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to support frequent travel between job sites. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience working in commercial, industrial, municipal, or multi-facility environments., • Ability to read and interpret project specifications, work orders, and basic construction documentation., • Familiarity with applicable building codes and safety requirements related to maintenance and light construction., • Comfort working in both indoor and outdoor settings with varying weather conditions., • Ability to adapt to changing schedules, job sites, and project demands. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Severance, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
