About the Role The Senior Account Executive drives new business growth for Smart City Telecom across Orlando and Central Florida, marketing our full portfolio of voice, broadband, and data networking solutions to prospective and current commercial customers. Reporting to the Telecom Sales Manager, this quota-driven, hybrid role blends prospecting, consultative account management, and proposal development to convert opportunities into lasting customer relationships. The Senior Account Executive partners closely with operations and support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from proposal through installation. What the Role Involves • Broadening the company’s commercial footprint within Orlando and Central Florida, • Marketing our full range of products and services, from simple to complex, including voice, broadband, and data networking solutions, • Prospecting and hunting for sales opportunities, converting them into new customers through cold calling and networking, • Working with company operating systems, management, and support staff to ensure effective communication and a seamless installation process for customers, • Proactively self-generating leads, building long-term customer relationships, and preparing monthly sales forecasts, • Generating new growth within our markets, • Understanding and simplifying complex challenges to deliver appropriate solutions, • Meeting or exceeding sales and revenue goals in support of overall company objectives, • Strengthening professional effectiveness for premium accounts through an ongoing, consultative partnership with customers to understand their business, industry, and competition, and determine present and future needs, • Preparing customer proposals, including accurate pricing and network designs, and coordinating the company’s response to customer RFPs, • Staying current on all company product information and the competitive landscape, • Coordinating and/or conducting customer presentations to high-level executives, • Using CRM tools with confidence and expertise to prepare forecasts for sales management, • Contributing to various projects with minimal supervision, including aiding other departments and team members, as directed What We're Looking For • A vital interest in contributing to the success of the department’s and company’s goals and strategic vision, • Competency and experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Dynamics CRM, • Ability to quickly learn proprietary software and work with cloud-based and mobile technology, • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, • Eagerness to adapt existing processes to new, improved systems, • Excellent organizational skills, time management, initiative, attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through, with the ability to exercise independent judgment as needed, • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to identify customer requirements, determine the appropriate solution, and continually exceed expectations through ongoing account management and engagement, upholding our service excellence standards, • Ability to multi-task and accomplish priorities with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment, with structure, focus, and determination, • Ability to establish strong inter-departmental relationships and work cross-functionally with team members at all levels, in a collaborative, positive, and professional manner with uncompromising ethics and integrity, • A proactive attitude within the team through mentoring and knowledge sharing, • Extreme ownership and accountability of daily sales activities required to achieve quota, • Seasoned telecommunications experience with a proven track record in quota-driven B2B business development, sales, and customer account management, • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with fiber-based telecommunications networks, SD-WAN, WAN, LAN, and Enterprise Ethernet networks, • Thorough knowledge and experience selling traditional and hosted voice services in the business sector (POTS, VoIP, Hosted Communications, PRI, and SIP), • Effective prospecting and lead generation through cold calling and networking, • An enthusiastic and compelling sales presence, with the ability to expertly present solutions to customers and management, provide detailed quotes, and skillfully handle objections and negotiations to close the deal, • Minimum of 5 years of successful, quantifiable experience in a quota-driven B2B telecommunications sales role and business development capacity, • Experience in the Central Florida market with technology providers and vendors, • Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record, • Familiarity with Dynamics, Salesforce, or other CRM platforms, • Experience selling into hospitality, healthcare, public sector, professional services, or construction verticals Nice to Have • Existing book of business or established relationships with Central Florida enterprise accounts, • Bilingual in English and Spanish, • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred, not required) Working Conditions • Hybrid work schedule with in-office, remote, and customer/prospect site workdays;
